Dr. Edwin Chapman Glass, MD

Edwin Glass, M.D. is a renowned Nuclear Medicine Physician who has been working in the
surrounding LA community for over 25 years. He has been a part of our Medical Imaging team
for three years. He is currently on staff at St. John’s and is the Section Chief of Nuclear
Medicine at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System.
Dr. Glass is also a faculty member at UC Davis and UCLA
Dr. Glass graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a mathematics degree from
the Univerity of Texas. He received hid Medical Degree from Baylor College of Medicine and
went on to complete a residency in Internal Medicine at Kaiser Permanente Foundation
Hospital – Santa Clara. He then completed a residency in Nuclear Medicine at University of
California - Davis and was trained in MRI at Duke University.
Dr. Glass is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Nuclear Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, and
Numerical Analysis. He has published countless articles many of them …focusing on his
cardiology and oncology research topics. Dr. Glass has lectured all over the world and
routinely presents and acts as a moderator at the Society for Nuclear Medicine Annual
Meeting.
Dr. Glass’s expertise in Cardiac Nuclear Medicine in collaboration with Dr. Jabour’s
pioneering advances in CTcoronary angiography has recently won them national recognition
for the findings in the current diagnosis and management of coronary artery disease. Dr. Glass
is also involved in researching lymphoscintigraphy with the Medical Imaging team.
Dr. Glass resides in the West Los Angeles area and is an active member of the Southern
California Violin Makers Association and is also an avid participant in the Southern
California and Western United States Folk Music Community.
