Dr. Joe spent 5 minutes with me, didn't answer questions, waste of time. Go elsewhere.

Obviously very knowledgeable, and was satisfied with my first few visits. When I called to get a refill on an acne prescription he gave me, I was shocked at his demeanor on the phone. He was very rude and kept trying to get me to book another appointment which I felt was unnecessary. It's unfortunate because I'm usually a very loyal patient. In this case I will not go back.

My experiences with Dr.Joe and the Murray Hill Dermatology office have all been postive. My initial appointment was taken as an emergency case and subsequent follow-ups scheduled as needed. I was always seen on time (within 5 minutes of schedule) and never felt hurried by Dr. Joe. Yes, there was the request for a follow-up visit, but only to ensure that the treatment plan was having a positive effect. Anyone who has dealt with a skin problem should understand that finding the right medication requires some level of experimentation as each person reacts differently to treatment and the reason for the follow-up appointments is to fine-tune the treatment plan. He also stressed that he does not charge a fee for cancellation and that the follow-up was only needed if there was no improvement. In my case, after establishing the proper course of treatment Dr. Joe had no issue providing the needed refills.

Good doctor if you don't mind an obnoxiously long wait period or don't have anything to do all day but sit in a waiting room. The entire office is like that. After 2 times waiting for over 45 mins each time, forget it, there are other doctors around without this problem.

Wonderful doctor. He was very thorough and even checked for moles between my toes!!!!! None of my other doctors did this. He also works on Saturdays which is hard to find.

Dr Joe was exceptionally thorough in his examination. I was referred to him by my primary care physician, because of a problem with a growth on my neck. When he saw that I needed to have the growth removed immediately, he took the time to not only perform the procedure on my neck, but also on another area of my body. His friendly, calm and supportive manner made the whole experience very comfortable. I feel confident in Dr. Joe and will be using him as my dermatologist from now on.

Much better than my previous derm who kept giving me pills for acne and barely spoke a word to me. Dr. Joe got me off pills and now I just use creams. He works on Saturdays which is great for me. Impressive resume. A fast-talker but always makes sure I understand everything.

Receptionist was a little clueless. Nurse who showed me to the room was rushing me. Dr. Joe seemed a little rushed, but he answered all my questions, even drew a diagram to explain what was happening. I've seen 4 dermotologists in NYC, and he definitely spent the most time with me and explained things to me.

I had to wait about 30 minutes for my appointment, which I think is average in NYC. Staff was average to slightly below in professionalism (they chat to each other for the whole waiting area to hear). When I saw Dr. Joe, he was a gentleman, explained my condition to me, and explained the treatment plan. After seeing a few dermatologists who just rush in and out, he definitely the best at taking the time to explain things to me and answer my questions. Well worth the 30 minute wait. He even called me on a Saturday to let me know my tests were normal.

Overall an excellent experience at the doctor's office. I came for a problem that was appropriately diagnosed with excellent follow-up.Dr. Joe displays a wonderful combination of a great bedside manner, compassion, and dermatologic experience that I thought did not exist in modern medicine anymore. Would highly recommend to friends and family alike.
