Dr. Edwin Earl Sutherland, DDS

Dr. Sutherland is a Diplomate, American Board of Periodontology. He is a graduate of Stillwater High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1994. He received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1998 and then served four years in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant in the Dental Corp., completing tours in Parris Island, S.C.; Diego Garcia, Indian Ocean and the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. While stationed at Parris Island, SC, Dr. Sutherland completed a one-year Advanced Education & General Dentistry (AEGD) residency.
After returning to Oklahoma in 2002, Dr. Sutherland entered the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry Residency program in Periodontics. He completed his three year Periodontal Residency and received a Master of Science degree in May 2005. Sutherland also received two Oklahoma Health Sciences Center Graduate Student Association awards for Outstanding …Academic Achievement and Outstanding Clinical Research in May of 2005.
Dr. Sutherland is thrilled to be able to return to his hometown of Stillwater. His goal is to serve as a periodontal and dental implant resource for dentists and their patients in Stillwater and the surrounding communities. He believes together they can ensure that patients receive an unparalleled level of quality periodontal care.
Edwin married Jennifer Fellows, also a Stillwater native and graduate of Oklahoma State University, in 1994. Jennifer and Edwin are the proud parents of Hayden Edwin Sutherland, born March 8th 2005.
