Dr. Efrim Cassius Moore Sr, MD

Never met the doctor but if I go by the staff that called nasty and rude. She calls as I answered the phone she calls my name no Ms -- as though she was my friend or my mother. Cakled to tell me the appointment that was made for me without my acknowledgement. The doctor will ne out of town on friday. I know he knew that before 3 days before the appointment. If the staff is rude and nasty does that mean the doctor will be worst? Afraid to take that chance. I was asked did I want to see Dr. Moore? Was placed on hold and hung up on. Calls were sent to the answering service at 4:30 & the office closes at 5pm. If the staff is rude and nasty , how will the doctor be. Afraid to find out.

I had my first appt. w/Dr. Moore today. I found his staff to be very friendly and helpful. I was nervous, as I previously had a not-so-good experience w/another pain doctor who refused to explain anything to me and was "Inaccurately" billing my insurance company. I left NGPC today feeling refreshed and at ease because Dr. Moore took the time to listen to me and to also explain what is actually going on in my back and my neck. I found him to be extremely knowledgeable and professional.

I was sent to Dr Moore from my neurologist. I was usually in the room with him maybe 5 minutes. I wanted him to do some test on my facial issues but instead he told me to go to my neurologist and they would take care of it. He has prescribed me pain medicine for over a year and he knows I'm a service technician we have talked about it in-depth. My employer needed a form sign that states I can perform my job. He wrote down while taking this medicine I should not drive or operate equipment. Well that is my job. So I was out of work for 6 days he would not talk to me, he would not allow me to set up an appointment to resolve this issue or changed my medication. If it was not for my family doctor helping me out I would have lost my job and he knows this as well. He treated me like I was an idiot and at times he did get very loud with me. I told my neurologist I did not want to go back but she says I've got to go to that particular pain clinic. It is very sad when we have doctors out there… like this I thought they're supposed to help instead of leaving you hanging. If he reads this he will know exactly who it is. I just felt like when I was there he just handed me my prescription and sent me on my way. To me this is nothing but a pill Mill.

Was referred to this clinic by my PCP of 10 years due to lingering/chronic pain from a very bad motorcycle accident in 2009. My first (and only) appointment was good - Dr. Strauss seemed interested in honestly managing my pain, asked good questions, conducted a thorough exam, and prescribed medication. I took the prescription to CVS my long-time pharmacy who, after three days, said they couldn't fill some of the medication (Butrans patch) and were working through it with my insurance (Humana) and the doctor's office. I called the doctor's office that day, got a recording, and left a detailed message. I waited another 3 days and called CVS - they said they had left messages at the clinic but nobody had called back. I again called the clinic, again getting a recording, and left another message. A week later same thing - called clinic and left message, no call back to me or to CVS. A week later same thing - message left at clinic, no call back to me whatsoever. I finally got a… live someone at the clinic three weeks after my appointment. The lady said they didn't have time to be on the phone all day with my insurance, that it would be smoother if I just paid cash, and was talking over me and wouldn't give me an opportunity to even explain in detail the issues. I had reluctantly agreed to the referral by my PCP because I needed pain management not just a pill. I think the pain clinic doctor is a good doctor but the clinic staff did not care about me as a patient. The waiting room was full of people that I absolutely knew were there for one reason, and I had hoped that this clinic would help me manage my condition, but in the end they showed that they didn't care about treating - only cared about writing prescriptions and having cash paying customers. I have just today been referred to another clinic by my PCP but I'm thinking about just giving up and living with my pain without treatment. I am almost 60 and had the following injuries - broken left ankle, broken left leg, fractured pelvis, 7 broken ribs (in multiple places), bilateral collapsed lungs, broken clavicle, broken scapula, broken left arm, broken left wrist, severe nerve damage, head injury resulting in bleeding in the brain - all from one wreck where a girl turned in front on me (and I had on full gear). Does anyone know a real clinic that can help manage pain? Does one even exist?

Horrendous experience!!! Arrogant, holier than though attitude. Made me feel like he thought that I was some kind of addict. Left in tears EVERYTHING time I had to "deal" with this poor excuse for a "doctor".

My husband had to see Dr. Moore for a back injury. We were really pleased with the entire experience. Dr. Moore was wonderful can't thank him enough. I will admit the office had both my husband and I a little nervous but the experience and the courteous of the staff made up for it.

Dr Moore has "cared" for me for 17 yrs +. The level of concern and time spent with me understanding the origin of the pain is higher than any other doctor I have ever seen. 2 back surgeries (unsuccessful) and one neck surgery. he eliminated the nerve pain in back/legs when other doctors could not.

Dr Moore has always taken all the time needed to help me with problems. He takes time to discuss overall health along with pain problems.

I could write a narrative here, but will refrain. Unprofessional, rude, flip about my care, lacks knowledge about my condition, but thinks he knows, (bad mix)arrogant, and does not discuss any treatment options with you at all. My blood pressure goes out the roof when I go there which is counter productive. I know this is a tough profession for a doctor, but even though this is a pain issue, it is also a medical issue, and we are still patients, that pay, and we deserve respect. On a good note, he does give me something for pain, and on the last visit he was actually plesant, but you never know. I so wish I could find a pain doctor with compassion, that understood this condition, but I think these pain doctors take advantage of their position, and control over you because of the situation.I do appreciate that I get anything at all because I wouldn't be much without it. If you change, it takes time, and they don't look kindly at people who change, so if you get stuck that's pretty much… where you stay. Be sure to get records from your previous doctors for yourself so you will know what they are getting, because there was much of mine that was dead wrong. The receptionist in the location I go, is good, and no wait time, I'm sure that depends on what clinic location.I really hate giving a bad report on a doctor, but I am tired of disrespect, because of my pain, and I make sure I give a good report to good doctors, also

Filthy building, rooms unclean seems very unsanitary.
