Excellent Dr and person. Saved my life. Spendt many weeks with me while recovering.

Although highly recommended as a surgeon, Dr Minami should NOT be doing Parathyroid (adenoma) surgery! 5 yrs ago He removed 2 1/2 of my GOOD glands+left my adenoma which I had removed by "Guru" PT surgeon in Tamoa Fl few months ago. He found it (NOT on my thyroid but on my COLLARBONE--these glands can be anywhere from under tongue to above heart. True PT EXPERT SURGEONS ARE VERY RARE.

Came into pre-op with a list of questions which he answered all of without my having to ask them. Explained procedure thoroughly. Provided useful information on follow-up appointment. Have recommended him to others, and would see him again should the need arise.

I had the misfortune of selecting this doctor for pilonodal cyst surgery in 1999 and have not since recovered from it. Yes, that was 14 years ago. I was a young healthy male whom Minami turned into disabled person. I am unable to sit, drive or sleep well. The experience has severly affected my daily life, my work and my relationships. The sad part is that the surgery was not necessary but Minami was more interested in making his finances and wanted it anyway. He did a very poor job at explaining the risks, recovery time and provided terrible post-operative care. I have interacted with many doctors in a variety of disciplines, including surgeries, and Minami is by far the worst care provider that I have come across in my life It is my humble plea to anyone reading this review to please consider alternative options and do not let Minani repeat what he did unto me. Please do research and seek multiple opinions to determine whether you need a surgery, regardless of what Minami… tells you, and approach other surgeons if you do choose to proceed with the surgery. Wishing you all the best in your pursuit of medical care and protection from greed and incompetence.

Doctor Minami is amazing. Very knowledgeable and experienced. I had a surgery with him and, if any of my relatives or friends would need a doctor, I would suggest him.

I had my first surgery with Dr. Minami. I believe, he deserves five stars. My other doctor told me that if the'd ever need a surgeon for her children, she would call Dr. Minami. If someone asks me the same question, I would definitely advice him.

Dr. Minami is a kind, caring, gentlemen with a wonderful bedside manner. He always lets you know everything about your condition and takes care of you before, during and after your operation

I went to Dr. Minami for inguinal hernia surgery. I was previously aware that I had bleeding issues and some of my blood numbers were not normal, which I told him at the initial appointment. Instead of ordering labs and looking into the issue prior to surgery, he had me set up for surgery, had all the pre-op done and then told me he couldn't do the surgery. The blood test that would show my platelet abnormality was not even ordered and I told the nurse about the issue and she then ordered the test. In my view, Dr. Minami is sloppy and did not listen to concerns I knew might be an issue.
