Dr. Eileen Cruz Comia, MD

Extremely condescending, rude, and inappropriate to the point where her mental instability interferes with her ability to effectively care for her patients.

The worst MD ever! She makes you come for multiple visits so she can change you extra, she wants to get rich by doing the wrong things. She is arragant, no hospitality, abusive , disrespectful, and ignorant . Overall she is not a NICE person!

Dr. Comia and staff are truly amazing at what they do!

Recently moving to CT, my insurance had me choose from list of providers - unfortunately, I choose badly and went to see Dr. Comia. I have encountered this type of personality before in life and my instincts tell me she is dangerous. I had a very similar experiences as above, finding her extremely narcissistic, self-promoting, condescending and disinterested in anything I have to say about my own health. She had been threatening to withhold my regular prescriptions to the point of me feeling I needed to record my last appointment. On it she goes on about how she has cured many people of autism and diabetes by removing "toxins" and using her integrative health plan. (ie. buy the products in the waiting room) I challenged her in a number of areas and tried to let her know that what she was saying was making me highly uncomfortable and I did feel threatened - she "discharged" me. Thank you very much, I was not staying anyway but her biggest concern? My $20 co-pay. It is my personal… opinion, that she may digest negative reviews by telling herself - they were not ready to do the program - this doctor will not look at her own past behavior and I feel she is dangerous. It is why, after never considering this in my lifetime, reporting her to the state medical board. Recording and all. On a side note, her husband who works in the office, I believe a PA, is a nice person. The other staff I have encountered have also been nice and normal.

You shouldn’t send a rat to this doctor! She is horrible! She talks down to you, especially if you’re of color, she’s horrible to her CNA, who is of color, but more importantly she’s not interested in your well being. She’s only interested in money. She isn’t thorough, she doesn’t care about you just the money and her so called miracle drugs. She talked to my father as if he was a dog! She didn’t want him to see a neurologist, even though he has tremors, she dismissed the family’s concerns about issues my father was having, she was screaming for no reason. Proceed with caution with this doctor!

I’ve read a lot of negative reviews about Dr. Comia and so I felt the need to Write a review in her behalf even though I never write reviews on anything. Dr. Comia is not your conventional Dr that is going to overbook appointments, barely talk to you just to prescribe you poison for numbers sake. Yes, she is very unconventional in ways that I would even say defy our current healthcare system practices because her goal is not to push out the poison that the pharmaceutical companies push out for profit and not for health. Its her goal to get you to optimal health through supplements, diets and yes even exercise. Yes, she will offer you other treatment options that she has available in her office (why wouldn’t she, she has laser treatments, a hyperbaric chamber, etc. in her office so of course she’s going to offer her patients these services, otherwise the equipment would be collecting dust duh!) however if you can’t afford those expensive treatments which are not necessary for Dr.Comia… to get you to optimal health then you don’t do them. YES, she comes off as condescending, YES, she comes off as a know it all but that’s because she does know a lot and will try to inform you of what she knows even if it contradicts with what you think you know. YES, she sometimes gives you examples from patients she’s had and how’s she’s treated them, No it will not be the patient sitting in the next room, No she will not give any HIPPA info out about those patients just their experience with her and how’s she treated them. Yes, you may feel like your going to “get in trouble or scolded” at your next appt because you didn’t follow her last plan, because YES, she can come across as overbearing. HOWEVER... even with all those YES’s She is still one of the best doctors in the industry who still believe in helping the patient get back to their optimal health NATURALLY while living in a society that is geared for the opposite of that from the air we breath to the “food” that we eat. She is one of the best in the HEALTH CARE industry regardless of the comments you may read about costs, attitudes, product pushing, etc. Pharmaceutical companies push poison that claims to help you and costs the patients hundreds of dollars on their prescriptions that will more likely cause your body more harm which will lead to more poison to be prescribed to fix the problems that the last poison caused. Dr. Comia is not pushing their poison (yes, if you want a flu shot she will give you one!) she is a naturopathic, so she is pushing supplements and yes the supplements can be quite pricey but so are prescription drugs which are three times more expensive, but because insurance companies cover the poison and not the supplements it can seem quite expensive to pay 20.00 for a bottle of vitamin C! Yes, you can get them cheaper online however I’m paranoid and there’s a risk when ordering scripts and supplements just like anything else. And yes, if she’s going to sell the supplements from her office then of course there will be a markup so that her practice can make some money off the products too... she has to eat too right!? BOTTOM LINE... if you have THIN skin and want a doctor that is going to kiss your feet and give you any poison you ask for on the market then she isn’t for you. HOWEVER...if you want a Dr. that is extremely knowledgeable that can and will bring you back to optimal health but in a very UNCONVENTIONAL way then Dr. Comia is the Dr. for you!

I recently had an appointment with Dr. Comia. My appointment was 2:30. The check-in process took 1/2 hour. At 3:00, I was then placed in the exam room and told the doctor will be with me shortly. While sitting there, I could hear her speaking extremely loud (practically shouting) at the patient in the other room. I heard every medical issue that patient had. It made me uncomfortable. That should have been my cue to leave. At 3:55, I walked out of the room to inform the receptionist that I needed to leave. She went to see the doctor, then came back to me to say, she will be with me in 5 minutes. I waited for another 15 minutes. She came in, asked me if I knew who she was...telling me about her television appearances, etc. I told her, no I'm not familiar with her; that I needed a new PCP and found her on my insurance site. Before asking me what was wrong, she started to tell me that her program (which is very expensive and NOT covered by insurance) will cure all that hails me. She was… NOT interested in hearing details of why I was there and only pushed her Biomedical program/products. She rudely ended my appointment by asking, "Do you want me to write you a prescription for pharmaceutical poison or do you want to be a part of a program that will really work with lifelong results?" I walked out totally confused as to what just happened. Needless to say, I will not return to her office. Think I will check with friends/relatives for PCP referrals going forward.

The doctor and her office makes sure that there is time to address the patient's needs. Dr. Comia also verifies her staff helps with consult appointments

Screaming at my mother & questioning if she couldn't read because she did not continue drinking a sweet drink, she basically forced her to purchase. She has no compassion towards the elderly and does not take the time to listen to what people are trying to explain to her about themselves or their situation. A COMPLETE "know it all" and just not nice. Don't do it if you love yourself or your family.
