Dr. Eileen A Dolan, MD

My visit with Dr Dolan was wonderful and informative. However, I have been trying for several MONTHS to get my daughter’s diagnosis for her new school in new state. No one returns calls, all extensions lead nowhere. Cannot leave messages. My oldest actually went to HUMC where they told her they would finally email it to me. That was 3 months ago. My daughter has since lost her IEP and is falling behind quickly due to this incompetence! I have no qualms about leaving a bad review because no one seems to read them or care. Even her current school has requested the diagnosis, to no avail!! What a shame, since Dr Dolan is a such a competent Dr. and if she knew what was happening, she would have made sure I had that very important paper and none of this would have been necessary. My next step is a patient advocate or attorney!!

Dr Dolan is one of the best developmental pediatrician we have seen. Unfortunately not the same can be said for her staff. We were in desperate need of a copy of my daughter’s diagnosis so she wouldn’t lose her IEP in the new state we moved to (many of our possessions are missing in the move) All of our calls, emails and even sending my older daughter in person and the receptionist saying they will send it to me, would not give it to her but I was grateful for anything at this point . Nothing!! My daughter lost her IEP and it will take months trying to get her services back, and it all hinders on someone sending a piece of paper, but not before she falls behind this school year. If Dr Dolan was aware of this situation, it would have never happened.

Dr. Dolan was compassionate and extremely patient during my son's evaluation. She listened intently to all my husband and I had to say about him and she observed him for over an hour to be sure of exactly how he was doing. She told us her conclusions that he is gifted and mildly on the spectrum in the best way possible to ease any anxiety we had and I feel better after seeing her. It's always difficult to hear that your child has some challenges, but she gave me the information about gifted programs first, so I could concentrate on the positive. I think she is a class act! Now I know how to help my son effectively become a happy, successful person in the future. Thanks to her!
