I have had Dr. Klein as my primary care physician for 11 years. For that time, I haven't had any problems with her, but neither have I had any significant medical issues. You really don't know how good your doctor is until you really need her. Recently, I found Dr. Klein to be unsupportive and unhelpful at the time when I needed her the most. I recently experienced an illness that included coughing, high fever (eventually over 103 degrees) and other flu like symptoms. I was confined to my room for 5 days and unable to leave because of the symptoms (I wouldnt have left anyway for fear of having coronavirus, but I was too sick to have even have had the option). I made an appointment with Dr. Klein, whose schedule was 'wide open' according to her staff, i.e. I do not believe she was otherwise occupied with the current medical emergency. When she spoke with me, she told me that I did not fit the profile of a COVID-19 infection because I had phlegm. She told me my symptoms… seemed to indicate bronchitis and to 'hang in there and call her in a few days if it didn't get better'. That night, my fever reached 103 degrees and was unbearable. I was torn about going to the emergency room, where I know that they are overwhelmed, but I was at my wits end. I googled bronchitis and read that antibiotics easily solve it. I decided to take some azithromycin previously prescribed for another family member that he never used. My fever dropped and I felt better within an hour, by the next day, all my symptoms were gone except for a cough. If Dr. Klein was so certain that I did not have COVID-19, and knew I had bronchitis, she should have prescribed the antibiotic herself, instead she showed disregard for my suffering, provided no helpful advice and never called back to check on my symptoms (it has been over a week). I will be switching my primary care physician. I am sharing my experience here in the hopes it can benefit even just one person.

Dr. Klein is caring and kind. She knows her stuff too. One of the best internists overall I've been to.

This doctor deals totally thru her nurse. After the initial visit of 15 min. I never say her nor spoke to her again. She tooks lots of blood never explaining what for. Nurse called me to request more blood. After 7 weeks of not addressing my problem, I quit her and went to a REAL doctor who is wonderful and we are working on my problem. Maybe she was good in her day, but I find her totally uncaring, uninterested and absent. I went thru a lot of pain for 7 weeks for nothing.

Treats me like im royalty!
