Dr. Mary Eileen Mccormick, DO

I was seen by Dr. McCormick when I was 8 years old, 15 years ago, to rule out epilepsy. She was able to diagnose me with ADHD. Upon years of my own research and learning new things about the unique way my brain works, I now know that ADHD is underdiagnosed in girls due to the majority of ADHD case studies being done on male subjects and female ADHD patients having "less noticeable" symptoms. Dr. McCormick recognized my symptoms, gave me a diagnosis, got me the help I needed, and changed my life for the better. I've talked to so many other women living with ADHD that weren't diagnosed until much later in life. I am so grateful to have been given my diagnosis at such an early age. I can remember her as being one of the few adults from my childhood that was understanding, empathetic, and non-patronizing. I saw her up until I was 12 or 13. Dr. McCormick, if you're reading this, thank you from the very bottom of my heart (more appropriately, thank you from the bottom of my brain) Thanks to… you, I am able to lead a successful, happy life.

This is the worst and most unprofessional doctor. Treated me like I was illiterate and didn’t know what the difference between an ER doctor and orthopedic doctor was. Horrible bed side manner. Didn’t greet me with his name. I was in severe knee pain bc I had a torn acl , mcl, and fibial bruising aswell as well as severe joint effusion and a few other things but yet had the nerve to push his fingers into my knee and as I’m explaining my pain he jumps to ask me about my hip and once I start to explain my hip pain jumps out and says I have a call .not to mention he came in shouting and rushing me as if the ER was even full? There were prob 3 other people with me . I had numbing around my injured knee and feared a blood clot but yet didn’t take any precautions and literally sent me right back home. I went in with hopes of leaving with answers and instead I left with more frustration. I am a 26 year old woman and i have two kids , i would be mortified if this man was to ever treat any of… my children. He is the worst and most insensitive person I’ve met in my life. Silver cross is a great hospital but they went wrong with this doctor!

Dr. McCormick is fantastic. She is kind, and friendly and good at explaining things to children. We enjoy our visits with her!

Would recommend and do recommend Dr. McCormick to anyone in need of Peds Neurology!

She is an excellent physician.

Dr McCormick is wonderful. She made hearing that our baby had a devastating diagnosis "not so bad" because we liked her so much and knew we were in great hands. She is considered out-of-network for us, but we will pay cash each time. She is very knowledgeable and genuinely cares for her patients. If you wait in the waiting room it's because she is providing the same non-rushed care to others that she will soon be giving to you!! I highly recommend her.
