Dr. Eileen Marie Olinger, MD

She has been my doctor for about 5 years. There are days when I feel she is very caring and listens to me, and there are more days when I feel she is dismissive, does not listen, judges me, and actually almost scolds me for things that are not even the case. It is counterproductive and misses the point of the issue at hand. I am now dealing with some serious stuff and am waiting to see how it is handled. This might just make or break our relationship as dr and patient forcing me to move on, and despite the good days the only reason I haven't yet is because I HATE having to bring a new doctor up to speed on my 30 plus years of medical history. I think she is overworked mostly. She shows that she has a caring and compassionate side at times that listens, but the rest of the time I feel like I am a burden...

My regular doctor was on vacation and so the staff scheduled Dr Olinger for a problem I was having. A warm, caring Doctor (and I have a few in my past). I felt so heard (and she asked other questions beside what I came in for). I felt so good when I left and I have rescheduled my follow up with her.

Dr.Olinger has been my Doctor for years and is following the progress of my health before and since my heart attack, I am very touchy about doctors and hospitals in general and I am very comfortable with her and her staff.

Dr. Olinger is not a capable, caring or compassionate doctor. She is rude, dismissive, and judgemental. She does not and will not take the time to read any past medical history and is a very poor communicator. Dr. Olinger will ask a question & then not let you answer, without interrupting and talking over you as you speak. If you want a doctor who relegates all of her duties as a physician to other doctors and is uncaring, rude, uncompassionate and judgemental..then this is the doctor for you. She cannot even talk to you and look you in the eye. She CAN however let you know all about herself and her training. Too bad she doesn't reflect that in her treatment of her patients.
