Dr. Ekta Aneja, MD

I saw Dr. Aneja for the first time this month. She is a thoughtful caring physician who spends time with her patient. She even called me the day after my appointment when she read something in my advance check list (compiled by her assistant) that we had not discussed. She wanted to make sure it was not an issue that needed to be addressed. I feel very comfortable having her overseeing my health care. She was quite personable and easy to talk with and seemed genuinely interested in my well being.

Just late this last week I was able to get a same day appt with Dr. Aneja due to some intestinal discomfort. Like to note that she is my personal physician. She's new to me in the last year after the retirement of Dr. Barnett. At my appointment Friday, she had me go downstairs for an x-ray and my yearly labs. Received a call from nurse saying it looked okay and some meds were called in to pharmacy. About 2 hrs later as I was in the car on the way to pharmacy, my cell phone rang. This was about 5:30 pm, a good hour after office had closed. It was Dr. Aneja telling me to immediately go to ER. White blood cell count was over double the normal. She informed me as soon as our call ended she would be on the phone with ER and imaging letting them know I was on my way. I arrived at ER about 20 minutes later and they recognized my name. After triage, I only had to wait 5 minutes before being taken back. While being checked in, the ER charge nurse visited me to see how I was. She said that she… was asked by the Director to pay me a visit and check to see that I was given prompt, and proper medical attention. I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Aneja and her care and concern for my well being. In most situations such as this, I'd expect a simple call from the Nurse with instructions. Dr. Aneja went way above and beyond what 99% of Physicians would do at 5:30 in the evening on a Friday. She is AWESOME.

I recently met Dr. Ekta Aneja as a new patient. I found her to be sincerely interested in my medical history. I look forward to a doctor/patient relationship with her in the future.
