Dr. Elaine Percy Crosby, MD

I should’ve switched to another provider, long ago. As far as Dr. Crosby’s bedside manner, I assumed it was just me, but after reading many similar reviews, I know otherwise. Because I don’t want to be identified, I’ll only say that she once clearly expressed resentment to -- and regarding -- me. Additionally, I found her hard to understand, and when I’d express this, she seemed condescending. The office staff is often disorganized, including the office manager, which, for me, meant more work on my part. I overheard the doctor thanking the office manager for gathering paperwork, when it was me who’d done the work. There was also ongoing confusion about insurance coverage. And finally, long waiting periods to see the doctor weren’t unusual.

I have seen Dr. Crosby several times and have been very happy with the treatment that I recieved. I recommend her when ever anyone asks use for a Gynecologist.

I was continuously cancelled on for appointments, and continuously billed for an appointment that they never called me about that they made because they continued to cancel my appointment. When asked about my sexual activity and I told her I wasn’t she made a comment on how “well it’s a good thing a man had two hands,” as if it’s a duty to give out at this time I was only seventeen if not sixteen. When asked about my genetic make up when I said I don’t know, I’m a mix of white. She glared at me. Her staff are lovely but she is filled with awkward encounters and long waiting periods.

I had seen Dr. Crosby in early 2018, when I was new to town, who could give me a prescription for estradiol, and she was fine for that. Other than, that each time I saw her was odd, with a long wait, once discussing another patient's situation with me, and lots of tapping on her wall-mounted computer, without a lot of information and assessment of my routine gynecological needs. Yesterday, I was treated to over an hour wait, at which point she announce she needed to attend a funeral and would be changing her clothes in the adjacent room. I don't recommend Dr. Crosby for anything other than a routine filling of a prescription, in my experience with her.

Dr Crosby is an unusual and very professional doctor.. she cares about her patients and takes time to listen.. She is very relaxed about female things and makes you feel comfotable The whole office is friendly and all the staff are really kind she is one of a kind.. a real gem

I had my first visit with Dr. Crosby today and I am very pleased with her and her office. I suffered with hot flashes for years and my former OB/ GYN told me there was nothing to be done. She did not research because Dr. Cosby told me about non hormonal medications that have been in use for years. She impressed me as a smart and caring doctor.

Today was my first visit with Dr. Crosby. The paper work was very thorough, the wait was not long and i found the staff very friendly and informative. Dr Crosby was professional and genuinely concerned with any and all my health issues and questions. I would recommend Dr. Crosby to any woman of any age.

Dr. Crosby (h her staff) are professionals, kind, patient & thorough. They have put me fully at ease.

Dr. Elaine Crosby was the worst Doctor I have ever experienced. This is my first pregnancy. The first visit was good, where she talked about things to expect. By 2nd to 5th visit each time her attitude towards me became condescending. She didn't want to hear about my past doctors findings and results. If I was able to get a question in, she answered my questions coldly. Sometimes adding at the end of statements "...and I've told you that twice already." She never remembered anything we talked from last visits. I felt very frustrated by the 5th visit trying to talk about my medical condition with the pregnancy which she would interrupt me all the time. She never asked if I had any questions or concerns. I felt like a paycheck to her. I left her office in tears.

Though miscarriage happens quite a bit, it was new to me and a baby I wanted more then anything. I was quickly told my fetus was "unviable".
