This caring and experienced doctor put me in remission. I am now 36 years old. Firat time i have been in remission since i was diagnosed in 1995 at 14 yrs of age and a bowel resection at 18 yrs of age in 1998! Referred to Mt. Sinai from a physician I worked with at NYU. She said they were "the kings and queens of treating Crohns patients". She was absolutely correct. Although i had flare ups here and there mostly due to stress with personal matters, she is the only doctor since since my resecrion who put me on a healthy path with Humira, no prednisone which has affected my joints being on high doses for months at a time, and most importantly no narcotics for pain! Have seen plenty of doctors who would freely write up a script for one. That is not a cure as there is none to begin with, and honestly not the proper treatment. All it does is communicate to the brain masking the issue. Between a strict diet (i still eat a lot but healthier) OTC immune boosters and the Humira has made a… world of a difference. I now refer everyone to Mt. Sinai Gastro if they are desperate or simply looking for a doctor for minor gastro issues. I couldn't be happier with my health rigjt l
