Dr. Eleanor A Gill, DDS

I went to Dr. Gill 5 years ago she did 2 root canals. I recently was experiencing severe pain and said root canal on both teeth went bad. Not only that but she didn’t take out nerves glad we don’t see her anymore. Endodontic said it was awful fixing her bad work and it is costing me $1,000

I just visited my Dentist again, Dr. Eleanor Gill. I made an appointment to have my teeth cleaned and when I arrived, I was greeted by some lady who claimed to be the office manager. She told me she was a retired homeland security officer!!!!! She was not at all professional in the way she was talking to the employees and the tings she was saying to me! They told me that Dr. Gill would be cleaning my teeth. What happened to Lindsey? I loved her! She was the very best dental hygienist I have ever been to. She is no longer there and no one would explain to me why or tell me where she is. They could not get my insurance right. They wanted me to pay the total bill for a cleaning that really was not a true cleaning before they filed insurance. Where is Karen? She always understood the insurance and never, never, never asked me to pay before insurance was filed. Then Dr. Gill did not seem like herself at all. She was acting crazy and kept making excuses for all of the… personnel changes in the office. I plan to have my records transferred. This is not the same office it was 6 months ago. The people have changed and Dr. Gill seems to be having some kind of problem. Stay away from this office!!!!

I recently visited Dr. Gill because I have been a patient of hers and I love her Hygentist and Assistant. I have always liked her receptionist, Jessica. However, she has someone new greeting patients and this person is an older women who does not fit in with this office. She is rude and obnoxious. She is dressed very sloppy and appears to just not care about the patients. Dr. Gill knows all of her patients and her staff have always been wonderful. Sorry Dr. Gill but this lady is a bad hire; maybe she is just temporary. I will not come back and be subjected to her. There are too many dental offices in town who care about how their front end employees treat people. If you make a change, I will be back. Just so you know, other patients are talking to each other about this lady. Please, Please make a change before it impacts your business. Your other staff members are wonderful.

Having a friendly staff and a capable dentist mean nothing if the billing department doesn't know how to submit proper codes to the insurance company.

I don't usually write posts but I had to this time. I had called before I went in to see if they handled my insurance and it wasn't until I got into the chair that they told me that they weren't part of our group. They then kept pushing me to get my teeth cleaned and I told them no I didn't need to because I just got it done back several months before and that I only needed one tooth looked at. They went out and said they checked with my insurance and that it was exactly 6 months to the day and that the insurance covered the cleaning. I told them to double check because I only needed one tooth looked at and I couldn't afford it. They came back a out 10 min later telling me yes it was covered. So I got them cleaned. Next thing I know I have a bill for $241. I contacted them and all I got was I'm sorry but we are unable to say with 100% certainty how they will pay. Now I am stuck paying a bill I cant really afford. I will pay my bill because I signed the paperwork but I will… never go back and I recommend others to think twice because they don't seem like someone you can trust.

BEWARE: After receiving a large bill (after insurance coverage), I call to get the details. It was explained that insurance covers 1 Fee but Dr. Gill has her own fee schedule. I called my insurance who explained that Dr. Gill does not belong to any dental networks and provided a print out of how the fees are much higher than other dentist in Desoto County and the surrounding areas. My issue is after contacting my insurance to get approval and amount of coverage. This information was not shared with me in order to make the decision to approve the work. An example of cost differences provided by CIGNA, the average fee for exam is $46 but Dr. Gill's fee is $73....I can't argue that you get what you pay for in this case! She beat on your teeth with a hammer and then send you to an Orthodontist who charges $100 for consultation!! REALLY
