How is such a physician allowed to practice?

I saw Dr. Krimmerman for 15 years. I told her what happened to me when I was a kid (I was molested). I would tell her how I was feeling but she did not help me. She told me I would understand my disease but I would never have a breakthru. After telling her I started remembering what happened to me when I was a kid she was unable to help me. After years she finally told me that she only administers medicine. During the 15 years I saw her I stopped talking about what was troubling me (remembering my past). She decided to retire and I wrote her a letter telling her she was the worst psychiatrist I had ever seen. When she received this letter she finally said that I was traumatized as a child. Why couldn't she tell me this when I was pouring my heart out to her. I asked for a family meeting because a lot of pain came from the abuse from my family, she told me nobody wanted to come to a family meeting. I was told by my brother that nobody every contacted him for a family meeting.
