Very lonely woman who loves attention and being needed. Also loves being in control and willing to use all sorts of abusive nasty tactics to increase her power over. you. Not even close to being effective to the patient only to the doctor as all she seemed to care about is her money and that you keep coming. into treatment so she. can feel. needed..Wow was I naive..Only motivated to help herself which. makes healing. any damage impossible. Wants you dependent on. her so that she is needed , and she. will not feel lonely and abandoned (what she told me when I quit treatment). She/we created a very toxic ineffective relationship which in and of itself proves it doesn't work..I guess at the time. I was as lonely as her so. I kept coming back each week.

Deeply disturbed cruel cult like figure. Attempted to break me down psychologically, and financially exploited me (made up several lies in an attempt to raise my fee from $300 to $400 per session) Vindictive, intimidating, and very petty. Groomed me by being very warm and seemingly caring, but then her true colors emerged after a year as she assumed I was sufficiently attached to her and unlikely to leave treatment. A total sick brainwasher. Certainly a pathological liar. I even heard her husband in office next door several times yell to her "your mind is all f**cked up" (they didn't realize I was early for appointment and could hear them) Seems to enjoy gas lighting. Felt like she was tyring to put me under her spell. Strongest talent by far is manipulation. SHe is exceedingly good at manipulation. A complete narcissist..Lacks basic moral or compassion. Very Old School freudian who is out to touch with modern culture norms and treatments. Overmedicates, and seems to be annoyed ,… irritated and distainful of patients. Burnt out, and very rigid. No mutuality , just one sided relationships she can have. Very two faced. Not caring or compassionate enough to be effective. Still has much work to do on herself. Has not examined her worst defenses, or if she has they can't change. Still shocked that she gaslighted me on numerous occasions in long drawn out ways to advance her financial and professional interests. Said very cruel hurtful things to me on several occasions. Very patronizing and condescending. Just a very angry and hate filled woman, who tries hard to hide these sides of herself. Closed minded to new ideas, and is a real know it all. Yelled at me when I wanted to end my treatment. She screamed at me for "wasting her time", even though she then contradicted herself and said I do not need treatment. Very secretive wont even answer the most basic questions about her process or techniques or theories she is using in her work. Wants complete control and authority. Very smug and often proves a point by saying so and so went to harvard (even claimed she was accepted by harvard but chose to to attend, which I find hard to believe. Feels entitled to hurt you, lie, and be insulting and humiliating. Very insensitive person filled with envy. Seemed to get a thrill from being cruel, deceptive, and arrogant. Certainly has sort of sociopathic problems, and severe personality and character issues.Sort of an outlaw psychiatrist who thinks following rules are beneath her. So corrupt I can't even mention everything in this space. She groomed me for a few years acting very caring, so her bad behavior turned towards me after a few years of gaining my trust. I also heard her say the same sorts of things to her husband. It is just who she is, and what she does. Presents feedback in a very disrespectful, uncourteous, unprofessional,negative, unproductive way. the feedback gets lost since her delivery is overly harsh abrasive and judgmental.Does not have healer like qualities.Not very supportive.Not open to questions about the service she is providing, and almost dismissive. Sort of detached and hidden in her notebook. Doesn't really mix it up much. Has a real mean streak and can be very cruel and mean spirited for no reason. Often condescending and patronizing. Her moods shift on a dime. Seems to be filled with hate and rage which I saw on display several times. Very passive, and a bit unrelating. Does not have a wide range of emotion. Seemed very calculating, but not for my benefit, unfortunately. When I left she yelled at me for wasting her time. Felt she became too dependent on me. Not really any treatment plan or explanation of what she was doing. Sort of coasting and think she was hoping i would not notice. Doesn't seem to have kept up with modern healing strategies, sort of felt like a one trick pony. Not a patient centered doctor. Kinda felt like i was being conned. seemed very neurotic and hypersensitive to constructive feedback. very tightly wound. had a narcissistic arrogance. needed to be in control.

She is a condescending patronizing bully. Very very rigid, and a total dinosaur. Expensive crap. SO anxious cant even stop writing in her note pad like an obsessional nervous school girl.

Sadly, Dr Schuker behaved very unprofessionally and unethically during my five year three times a week treatment. She and her husband (office next door) had at least six major hysterical blow up fights that I was able to overhear as I waited for my appointment time. She attempted to raise my fee from $300 to $400 a session, using very aggressive pressure tactics, and lied that I asked her for a discount when I began treatment..However, she acted most unprofessionally, after five years I felt I was ready to leave treatment, and gave her notice that I would terminate after a six month termination. She did not react very well to my ending treatment. We had been working on self confidence issues for five years, and all of a sudden she diagnosis as paranoid, delusional, and that I distort. I felt gas lighted. She says that she will not provide me with my eight month termination. Then the next session she tries to persuade me to stay on indefinitely. She tried several tactics to get me to… stay, which all felt very abusive and manipulative as she was very aggressive with me. Finally, when she knew I was serious about leaving, she came clean and admitted I know longer need treatment. I certainly learned a few things during my five years, however she created new problems by acting so unethically and unprofessionally. I felt it was my responsibility to document my experience, if for no other reason Dr. Schuker will read this , hopefully reflect, and control herself

Stereotypical all school authoritarian shrink. Hides behind her note pad, and has terrible judgement. Has not evolved with the times. There was no treatment plan and she just seems to coast. It was like talking to an acquaintance, it was not medical or scientific at all. I felt like it was just a ruse.She is insecure, and is hard to have an authentic conversation with her because she is very sensitive and defensive. A rigid thinker, and quite pompous. I guess anyone will listen for the right price. She does start each session on time, and is well rested so that is a plus.
