Elena C. Puig, DMD
The Realization of a Lifelong Dream.
In many ways, the opening of Dynamic Smile Design is truly a success story marked by the determination and hard work of Dr. Elena C Puig. Originally from Havana, Cuba, the doctor’s family immigrated to the United States when she was just three months old and settled in Miami, Florida.
Upon graduation from The University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science, Dr. Puig attended Boston's prestigious Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she earned her Doctorate Degree in Medical Dentistry. She then returned to Orlando to start her career as a dentist in private practice. Her accomplishments in dentistry over the last 16 years have earned her a reputation as being a leader in the field of both general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry. Recognized both locally and nationally, Dr. Puig has patients from all over the state and often sees patients from other parts of the world.

Throughout her career, Dr. Puig has been committed to providing high quality dentistry in a personalized and caring atmosphere. Dedicated to her profession, she attends over 100 hours of continued education courses each year (three times the requirement) in order to offer patients the latest advances in cosmetic, general, and restorative dentistry. Dr. Puig’s extensive training includes the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies and the Las Vegas Institute, the world’s premier post-graduate center for cosmetic dentistry (LVI).
Awards
As a member of the Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Puig regularly attends dentistry meetings and seminars.
In 2009, Dr. Puig was recognized for aesthetic restorative dentistry in several areas at the Annual Smile Showdown Competition*:
The only Gold Medal awarded for the category of Four or More Porcelain Restorations.
The Members’ Choice Award for a separate submission in the same category of Four or More Porcelain Restorations.
*The annual Smile Showdown Competition is open to all Academy dentists in the entire state of Florida who have completed cosmetic dentistry within the last year. The prestigious Members’ Choice Award is the highest honor, as it is voted on by peers, and represents the Best Overall Cosmetic Case. This recognition by the Florida Academy and her peers further demonstrate her unique abilities in the field of cosmetic dentistry.
