Dr. Elena M Regalman, MD

I guess I should have read the reviews carefully before seeing this doctor? She was originally in Sea Girt (5 minutes from my home), but moved to Neptune (22 minutes away). Made the appointment, but she never advised that her office relocated? I still came for the visit, and liked her intellectual insight. For convenience, I decided to see a local doctor and Dr. Regalman together. I have exceptional medical insurance which provides flexibility, and allows me to see different doctors without pre-authorizations. Today, I called Dr. Regalman for a well visit, as it's been 7 months since our last check up... In the course of dialog, I advised Dr. Reagalman, that I see two doctors for general medical evaluations. This time, I wished to be examined by her. *When she learned the name of my other doctor (a well known physician), she became irritated? One can only assume that she felt threatened by the mere mention of his name? In a very strange twist, she asked that I no longer come to see… her? That she does not wish to see me, as I am also being treated by him? This was so completely bizarre? *Obviously, she was threatened in some way? VERY unprofessional to say the least! Honestly, I am glad to witness this side of her now, before any medical emergencies should occur. Clearly, this doctor has MANY issues of her own! Sad, as she's a very intelligent doctor. However, someone who has questionable ethics... Dr. Reagalman is certainly not a physician who can be trusted with anything serious...

After I was admitted to the Hospital with Acute Diverticulitis of Both Upper & Lower Intestines (Not Common ) She Seen me for the first time @12:00 Midnight L.O.L. I was waken up out of a deep sleep I looked up to see this Woman Coming towards me I thought she was lost She was Dressed Regular No Lab Coat or Name Name Plate ? Anyway Once I realized she was a doctor I immediately relaxed She treated me as if she was My mom Bought back Childhood Memories of my mom Careing for me when I was sick WoW She Gently but Aggressively Examined me. She told me to Relax If I needed anything for pain for sleep Told me I was going To be on Clear Liquids and she would see me soon Awesomely Comforting Women. I am 58 yrs old and Hate The Medical Industry She is only the Second Doctor I have ever Liked.

I came to the ER with severe abdominal pain waited SEVERAL hours to be seen by the doctor and when I finally did see her she came for about a minute. When she examed my stomach she practically punched me many timesmaking my pain 10 x worse. I tried to cover myself while she was looking at me in the ER and she just flung the covers over and didn't even care about my privacy. her bedside manner needs work as well, for a doctor that has almost 40 years of experience, she should know how to treat her patients (Especially ones in Immense pain) in a gentle manner. Every single nurse in the hospital I came to all said she's "the worst". Besides for her lack of compassion and care for her patients, she was a mess. Absolutely disheveled. Would not recommend nor will I be returning to the hospital where she practices again.

Dr. Regalman has treated me for several years. She is very kind and gives you time to talk about your medical concerns. She visited me in the hospital at 12 midnight when I had a operation just to check on me. She is a very sweet person.

After several unfortunate experiences with the Barnabas Health System, I finally transferred my dad into the Meridian system, and then found Dr. Regalman (my dad's physician was not part of Meridian). I have to say, I've never been happier and more comfortable with my dad's care. Dr. Regalman is a very competent, very sharp, knowledgeable and practical doctor; not only are her medical skills spectacular, her ability to view care as a whole, not just separate areaa of it, was extremely helpful. Our own experiences with her bedside manner were the exact opposite from one of the reviews - by day 3, we felt she was like family, and absolutely feel her recommendations were dead-on. She keeps exceedingly demanding hours: it's not been a rare thing for me to see her visiting her patients in rehab facilities way beyond normal "office" hours. Our family owes much to Dr. Regalman in how she took care of my dad. Just seeing him smile at her when she came in the door said it all to us.… He had never been happier with a doctor, and he saw a LOT of doctors in the past 20-some years. I would recommend Dr. Regalman very highly to anyone who think substance and vision are primary in a doctor. She is amazing!

I was admittied to hospital, with different issues, Dr. Regalman discharged me without completing all of the tests required or explaining my options, questions are still unanswered, I still feel the same as I had entered the emergency room.

I was admitted to a hospital one year ago,in septic shock and gravely ill. This angel of a woman took on my case when my own doctor failed to diagnose me accurately and was ready to discharge me from the hospital. It turned out I had DIC which has about a 90% death rate. She came to see me at all hours of the day and night in the hospital and promised she would do everything she could to save my life. AND SHE DID!!! I couldn't ask for better care or diagnostics...I'm a nurse, and will forever be grateful for this doctor's willingness to go so far above and beyond what she needed to do in ensuring she diagnosed and prescribed the correct treatment.

Dr. Regalman needs to improve her bedside manner. She comes across as hubris, arrogant, and unsympathetic to a patient's needs. She has a dictatorial attitude and is rude. Her diagnosis is questionable at best because it doesn't even seem that she reviews a patient's relevant data. She renders judgment as though she were omnipotent.
