Eleni Anne Jaswa, MD

Dr. Eleni Jaswa is a reproductive endocrinologist, infertility specialist and research scientist who cares for patients trying to build a family. She has expertise in diagnosing and managing a broad spectrum of reproductive health conditions, including polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), recurrent pregnancy loss, primary ovarian insufficiency, endometriosis and unexplained infertility. She provides diverse fertility treatments, which she tailors to meet individual needs and goals. She believes in empowering patients through education, data provision and open communication, and seeks to ensure they feel supported and informed throughout their journey.In her research, Jaswa's goals are to advance scientific understanding of reproductive conditions, improve treatment options and enhance the care experience for patients with fertility issues. She studies PCOS, recurrent pregnancy loss, egg freezing, preimplantation genetic testing (a screening test for embryos), reproductive mental health, …the use of wearable devices as fertility tools, and the COVID-19 pandemic's effects on pregnancy and childhood development. She has published her research in leading medical journals, including JAMA Network, and has been featured on podcasts and other media outlets. She serves on the board of the American Psychiatric Association Foundation and the medical advisory board of Oura.Jaswa earned a bachelor's degree and master's degree in biology at Stanford University, where she received the Joshua Lederberg Award for Academic Excellence and J.E. Wallace Sterling Award for Scholastic Achievement. She earned her medical degree at Weill Cornell Medical College, where she received the John Metcalf Polk Prize and William J. Ledger Prize in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UCSF, followed by three years of advanced fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Reflecting her commitment to integrating proven methods into her practice, she also earned a master of advanced studies degree in clinical research from UCSF.Jaswa lives in Woodside with her husband, Sujay, and their three daughters. She enjoys an active lifestyle that includes running, yoga, biking and dancing with her children.
