Dr. Elenir G Bernardes

Dr Bernardes refused to see me and cancelled my appointment because I requested an estimate for the dental work in writing instead of a verbal quote. I had an oral surgery scheduled to take place 3 days after the scheduled visit with Dr. Bernardes. Since she refused to see me I had to postpone my surgery. As a cancer patient I had to stop my cancer treatment in order to have the surgery. The delay in surgery caused by Dr. Bernardes has put my health at risk. This behavior is highly unethical and I intend to contact the American Dental Association as well as the Maryland Office of Consumer Protection to report this incident.

I had good experiences with Dr. Bernandes in the past, but within the past few months the office has been a nightmare. The front desk staff seems to be in a state of constant turnover, and the latest employees there are inexperienced and unprofessional. It's been extremely difficult to get clear information and explanations of my very high payments, and a couple of the bills came out of left field. Then they needed me to reschedule, but only told me so after I'd arrived in the office after scheduling my day around the appointment. No call in advance, no attempt to fix the problem.
