Dr. Elenita Vergara Alvarez, MD

I don’t wanna go back in her clinic anymore, she’s rude, I was curious with my ultrasound result,of course I asked her about it and she said why i asked her too much and told me to just read the paper she gave me..I went to her office to ask question and to get an advice to her but nothing she just insult me..I hate it.bad experience.

The wait time is too long for her. My appointments are generally scheduled at 9, and her office opens at 8, but she doesn't even get there until 10:30!!! On top of that, she has terrible bedside manners, seems so uncaring about my problems (with down there), enters the room and always COMPLAINS about how tired she is, and once made my cervix bleed for a day by not performing the pap smear correctly! I despise coming to her and never again will go back there!

Dr. Alvarez was initially my mother's ob/gyn, so she soon became mine at the start of my womanhood. Let me tell you how awful her beside manners are - she never pays attention when I tell her of any symptoms I'm feeling, she will ask me the same questions in regards to school and life (which I've said the same story a million times already), and she always complains about how tired her day has been whenever she does my pap-smears. Her manners make me feel uncomfortable and horrible! After sending in tests to the lab, she hardly ever calls me to follow up on the results. Now her staff is friendly, but they're just as unfocused as she! I took my Gardisil shots from them and at every round (you're supposed to get 3) they have told me that I need to be the one to call the pharmacy and get it prescribed. (WHAT DOCTOR ASKS THEIR PATIENT TO PRESCRIBE THEIR OWN SHOTS?) I called the pharmacy each time and they said they needed the doctor's permission (well, duh!) So whenever I call… back Dr. Alvarez, and her staff answers, they tell me that THEY'LL talk with the pharmacy & I can just show up to my appointment. When I did show up to my appointments for my shots, the staff got irritated with me every time because I did not bring my own shots, even though they told me over the phone that they'd take care of that! Also, I end up waiting half an hour or more to be checked up by her, even on slow days! I definitely need a new ob/gyn soon.

Dr. Alvarez is hilarious. I like her because she is intelligent and can make "light" of any situation. She has delivered me, as well as my 2 children. I'm about to have my third child and would never dream of seeing anyone, but her!

Her office staff pretty much released medical info to my mother, when I did not under any circumstances give them the authorization to do so.I am beyond aggravated.
