Dr. Elias Issa Fanous JR., MD

I was a new patient dealing with a new disease (pancreatitis) and all the nurse practitioner did was confirm my symptoms and tell me about a procedure. There was no compassion or even an attempt to calm my fears. When I asked when I would see the doctor about this I was told that the doctor would talk to me at the hospital before the procedure. WHILE I WAS BEING PREPPED. I wouldn’t see him before then. I was also told he would want to see me in two months for a follow-up. Two months? I asked if I was going to have to wait two months for the results? No, I was told. He would talk to me after the procedure. After the procedure while I was coming off sedation? I was confused. That’s when the nurse, who was about 10 feet away from me, removed her masked, raised her voice, and started talking to me like I was a child. I DO NOT recommend this practice to anyone. If I could give less than one star, I would.

I call over 48 hrs before a procedure that I wont let these people ever touch me, the face of his office alone make you wanna run, Tara is rude and always out side smoking, he is not the only Dr in town go ahead and file on my insurance I have proof I call well before, I care nothing for these rude people and rude Dr.

If I could have given this office zero stars I would. Whomever answers their phones should be fired I have her recorded with her awful attitude she has towards patients at this office. They charged my 94 year old grandma $75 for getting sick and not being able to make her appointment. We called the day BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT!!! She has never canceled an appointment before and they couldn't waive it for her? The last time I checked we don't pick when we get sick. Don't even get me started on my experience at this office . I have had extreme abdominal pain for over a year and they can't seem to figure out why or treat me with enough respect and dignity to help me. Since when do doctors stop caring about their patients?! What a joke.

I don't understand the negative reviews. The Dr Fanous I saw was patient, caring, understanding and thorough. He did an EGD and has ordered further testing. I feel so comfortable and confident in his abilities that I have scheduled my 1st colonoscopy with him.

If you want to see a glimpse of the type of attitude you will get go to Healthgrades and look at how DR Fanous responds to his bad reviews like childish brat.. I'm not sure if he does the replies or if he hires and angry, snarky teenager. He cannot accept the fact that his practice is not providing people with adequate care. If you need answers and help from an actual doctor you will not get what you are looking for from him or his staff. I will say Eric, his PA (who runs his office for him) is kind and helpful but the whole place is rushed... Medical assistant knows nothing. Girls up front are always rushed and rude over the phone. I honestly can't believe some of these people have a college education and still act the way you do. Get it together before a lawsuit lands in your lap... It's bound to happen with the complete lack of oversight and follow up.

It takes them forever to call back.. the medical assistant and scheduling people are always incredibly rushed and do not listen. I called the medical assistant to ask for SUBLINGUAL Zofran becuase I cannot hold pills down due to severe naseua/ vomitting. She responded and said "he will only perscribe zofran"... I had to explain what sublingual meant to a medical assistant... its Zofran that dissolves under your tongue... smh... I have never recieved such poor care from a gastro.. I am moving to Dr. Mantis in Dallas. COMPLETE NEGLIGENCE

His medical assistant and PA wont even give you the time of day. Even if you are so ill that you have missed work for two weeks... don't expect a call back or any type of personalized care. I hear Dr Fanous has poor bedside manner but I wouldn't know because the only time I've seen him I was sedated for surgery....

Dr. Fanous, Erik, and their nursing staff are always caring, helpful, and never stop until they find an answer. They are thorough, quick, and courteous, and I am thankful I found them!

He has helped me after all these years. With my stomach, heartburn, and so forth issues. Thank you??
