Dr. Elias Shattahi, MD

Dr. Shattahi certainly saved my life at UPMC Jameson when I was in the ICU fighting life-threatening complications from urosepsis. He prescribed the correct course of IV antibiotic treatment so that I survived and gave me excellent advice for my recovery. I appreciate his gentle bedside manner, he is very empathetic, he has world class diagnostic skills, took the time to listen and properly evaluate, took a thorough and complete medical history, and was very attentive and caring to follow-up by phone immediately when I had urgent questions. Highly recommend. He is more than respectful and considerate, he demonstrates warmth, compassion and treats patients with such careful dignity and respect, he has a gift of truly seeing a patient and the brilliance to instantly understand our complex health needs. Interacting with Dr. Shattahi was healing on multiple levels as I'm healing from trauma and he is trauma informed and skilled at establishing trust and making a patient feel safe. 5… stars.

Dr. Shattahi treated me when I spent 4 days in the hospital with a serious bacterial infection. He was thoroughly engaged with my care while being warm and compassionate through the hospital stay and two month follow-up. This excellent doctor jumped through hoops for me, helping me find my medicine at an affordable price and even calling from time to time after my release just to see how I was doing. His office staff reflected the same warmth and care towards me, as well. Visits were timely with minimal wait time. I am pleased to say that I am completely back to normal health because of him.
