Run the other way. Worse service ever. I tried to make an appt as I was seen slightly over 3 years ago. Some how they stated they didn't have my information but they were able to see when I was last seen. SMH! They didn't want to schedule my appt without getting my insurance information first then call me back if i was accepted to schedule. As someone who works in Healthcare for over 15 years makes my feel a little concerned. Are they just trying to see how good my benefits are to use me for my insurance before they accept me as she said? What's to accept ive been seen before. You obviously have my records. Front desk has no customer service etiquette. She acts like she runs and owns the place. I had to find another endo because if I have to spend a dime on a doctor I sure want to make sure I feel worthy and not as if they are paying me to put up with that attitude. They need to be reported. This is a numbers game to them not patient care. Once I saw all the previous reviews I realized… I wasn't the only one who feels this way. Says a lot about this practice.

Make sure you speak very slowly in fragment sentences so that the front desk lady can understand you. She is as intelligent, helpful, and empathetic as a thyroid cyst. She would literally prefer (as was my case) to have you suffer without your necessary meds for a week (after multiple requests on my part) than to spend 5 minutes to fax the pharmacy. She will lie to your face, name call, waste hours of your time for her own pleasure, and invent fees (like $20 to fax a prescription). Dr. Stephan is just as bad by encouraging this culture and there are literally so many other more capable doctors. This woman clearly has had trauma in her life and needs therapy or someone to love her.

Very rude staff that never calls you back. Says doctor has to approve before they make an appointment. After calling for 2 weeks they tell me he said to find a different doctor. If he’s anything like his staff, no thanks. He’s in it for the money

Very unfriendly staff. Front desk receptionist is very manipulative and negative. Doctors hours are not workable

This doctor charged $450 for the 1st visit - I had to pay around half that because I have a high deductible insurance policy. I opted to not go back to him and went to a VERY well known and trusted endocrinologist at BCM instead. I paid less than half that, and found out much more about my medical issue, and dealt with staff that seem to genuinely care about your situation. Dr. Stephan's staff is rude - you can tell they could care less about patients. They act as if you are such a bother. Never again.

Dr Stephan seems to be very qualified, and I suspect an excellent physician. He is very nice however, his very quiet demeanor made it difficult to think that he would be the right doctor for me. It's just a personal preference. I did think the charge for a first time visit with him was quite high - over $170.

I went to Dr. Stephan because I'm pre_diabetic and suffer from high blood pressure and high cholesterol. He was very helpful, knowledgeable, caring and saved me a lot of money by helping me lose weight and eventually I was off diabetic medication.

This is the most ignorant, useless, rude, pathetic, incompetent staff I have seen anywhere. Do not go to this doctor it is very frustrating having to put up with the staff. I have discussed this with the Doctor but he does not care.

I adore Dr. Stephan,he really is concerned about your health. He takes his time and listens, for that reason you have to wait.

I went to Dr. Stephan upon referral by my family doctor because I had a growth in my throat, which indicates thyroid disease. He tested me and gave me a prescription, then told me that I had to go back to my family doctor to continue my care for my thyroid issues. My family doctor doesn't treat thyroid and is not qualified to monitor my growth to make sure it's not cancerous. This made no sense to me why he'd shuffle me off to another, less qualified doctor, so I left for another endocrinologist in the med center who has been monitoring & treating me every 6 mths. I would NOT recommend Dr. Stephan because he does not follow up on care that a patient needs with chronic thyroid issues. It seems irresponsible, reckless and not compassionate to a patient in need of long-term care.
