Dr. Eliot Marc Gelwan, MD

If you ever have the displeasure of seeing this narcissist I recommend getting very high. I was high, but not nearly high enough when I saw him. I was enjoying my nap when I was high. This idiot came and did an “assessment”. I was napping on the ward. He made note of of my poor “dress, and hair”. I’m sure he wakes up looking picture perfect. He commented on my “pure looks of hatred. I was high and couldn’t deal with another grandiose shrink. He also made comments about my self loathing which is false, and couldn’t point to a single comment I made indicating this.

I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. He is rude, insulting, and has a horrible bedside manner. He made me feel like a criminal who was forced into his detox program while it was completely voluntary on my end. I was looking for help and he did not make things easier. While in the Emerson detox program, I ended up switching to a different doctor. I finally had enough of him after he insulted both my mother and I. Please, if you are assigned to Dr. Eliot Gelwan, switch to someone else ASAP. I cannot express enough just how horrible this man treated me and made me feel.

He made disrespectful and unprofessional comments at his age he should learn to control himself and act appropriately but it seems he is slow in these areas he was busy texting other people when I was talking easily frustrated and said abusive things this all from a positive first impression I think now his good guy behavior is merely a mask

Superior knowledge of psychopharmacology, general medicine, and their interaction. Not limited by the usual boundaries in knowledge and practice. On top of this very good diagnostician, with an excellent reputation.

this man has saved my life many times.

Dr. Gelwan treats you like a person and not a diagnosis. He spends as much times as you need and makes sure you are cared for.

I would never recommend this Doctor to anyone. I found him angry, abusive and uncaring. I do not think this man should be allowed to practice.
