Dr. Elisa Marie Girard, MD

I made an appointment with Dr Girard since my GYN doctor at that office retired last year . She made me feel very comfortable and was very thorough answering questions and concerns I had. I would highly recommend her if you are looking for a new GYN doctor.

I came in because I suspected I was pregnant only to be told to go home and wait it out. I explained to her that I needed progesterone shots on my first pregnancy to keep my baby and showed her the pregnancy test I took she took one look at it and told me it wasn't positive because it was faint.I was 100% sure that I was pregnant but she didn't listen to me sure enough two days later I had a clear positive pregnancy test. She didn't make me feel comfortable and important as a patient. I will never recommend her to anyone if you want prenatal care. She didn't even offer to do a blood test ...

Dr. Girard ordered tests that I was never told of or consented to...only found out about them when I received a bill from the lab. Very violating, sneaky and manipulative on their part to take advantage of and upset a PREGNANT woman. I will no longer be part of a practice where I cannot trust my DR, how can you treat a patient that way? What a shame to be so deceitful and dishonest. Additionally, their customer service when you call is nothing more than unfriendly and unhelpful. The ladies are rude and it took 2 weeks for them to call me back with an appointment. They are also not very pleasant in person either. My first ultrasound should have been a positive memory that I would never forget. Instead all I remember is a cranky old lady standing there violating me. I do not recommend going here. I will never be stepping foot in that office again. Please find an alternate DR and save yourself the trouble of going there.

I first went to Dr. Gerard a year ago, and had my 2nd experience with her last week. I found her to be professional, straight up and informative. In terms of her having no bedside manner, I do not agree with the other reviews as all. She might not be a soft and huggy type of doctor, but she is quick to smile and addressed the concerns I had with compassion and heart. I didn't feel rushed at all. BTW I am 59 years old and have seen my share of doctors.

She always rushes the appointment, and doesn't make the patient comfortable at all. Forget being a doctor, she doesn't basic people skills. Being a Gynaec she needs the trust of the patient more than anyone. You would expect a doctor to take the time, make a patient comfortable, explain things, and then ask if there are questions. I'm not a Doctor, and hence pay to go there. But it seems like, you pay her, to be shown attitude. The moment she walks into the room, there is uneasiness and makes the patient feel less important,and she acts as if there are better things she could be doing.

Your health is not worth risking. If this doctor has ruined someone's life due to their negligence, why would you ever consider going to the practice. The entire group is horrible. This doctor lies and does not put the safety and well being of the patient first. If you prefer your vagina and rectum to remain functional, don't let this person get near your crotch.

she doesn't make you feel comfortable. she did a laparoscopic surgery on one of my co workers and she left a thread hanging out of my friends incision which made her incision a lot longer to heal.

After reading a few negative reviews, I was really very pleasantly surprised by my experience with Dr. Girard. She was very friendly, did not rush me at all, and was very helpful in answering my questions. Her nurse was very friendly as well. I think only people with an axe to grind come onto these sites to review doctors, so I wanted to be sure to share a positive experience as well. We are moving out of state in a few months, but if we were not, I would definitely go back to Dr. Girard. Oh, and the wait time was about 1 minute!!
