I took my mother to see Dr. Poorman. She explained things well, listened to our concerns, and helped us navigate a difficult choice. I am very happy that my mother is seeing her.

Great doctor

I came across Dr. Poorman due to my primary care doctor of 25 years leaving the practice. Dr. Poorman was chosen for me by CHA. My 1st impression of Dr. Poorman was that she was aggressive & unpleasant. She really doesn't listen to what the patient wants. She is big on sending you for numerous tests even if you don't agree. She needs to learn a "little old fashion bedside manner" especially when taking on a new patient. When we disagreed on her treatment plan. she did not want to fill my monthly medication a few days before the refill was do. I am trying to figure out why CHA and Dr. Poorman have billed my insurance carrier 9 times for a test she authorized with the same code on the same day. If you choose this Dr. hope you have better luck than I did. I am done with her and CHA.
