Dr. Elise Devore Berlan, MD

I read the previous reviews before MD Berlan came into the room to greet my daughter and I. I paid close attention to her bed side manner and attitude in general to see if my experience would be that of those previous reviews. I was pleasantly surprised at how knowledgeable, personable and non-judgemental she actually is. Being a father taking his adolescent daughter to a Women's Healt visit Dr Berlan did not make me feel irrelevant. She is totally relatable, personable and down to earth. She was able to have a quick repore with my 15yr old (trust me, thats not easy to do.) And gave us well informed suggestions. I am glad that I did read those previous reviews because it made me pay attention to how different my experience with Dr. Berlan actually was, so much so I took the time to write this review.

She was extremely judge mental and had terrible bedside manner. She was supposed to call me the day after my daughters appointment, she did not. I had to have her paged since we were going into the weekend and I was waiting on lab results. She did not have any answers for me. She jumped the gun on the diagnosis and ended up being wrong. She would not call my daughter in any medicine for the problem. Instead she insisted that my daughter under go another exam from her since her findings were inconclusive. I will never take my daughter to see her again.

for someone who is supposed to be openminded and non-judgemental, she is absolutely terrible! makes assumptions about people prematurely. she should not be practicing medicine! terrible terrible doctor.
