Dr. Elise B De, MD

Left me with so much trauma. From watching me have an anxiety attack from a procedure then denying any medication to help me calm down for the next procedure saying they only give it to people who really need it. To then shaming me saying she had to send other patients home to “deal with” me. The absolute worst doctor I have had in my entire life. Talking about the procedures I went through sends me into a full anxiety attack. I told her I couldn’t continue with it and she had me finish saying the worst part was over but it just kept getting worse. I pray that no one has to deal with her.

Dr De it turns out I could've had the surgery to remove the mesh off my pelvic bone. Remember when you said the mesh couldn't be removed, well turns out, it could have been removed. Because of the nerve damage I now have, I'm stuck with this mesh on my pelvic bone for the rest of my life. All you had to was point me to the right doctor. You refused and now I'm suffering for life

Dr. De has all the clinical credentials but absolutely no bedside manner to make you feel at all at ease. You would think that as a woman herself, she’d show some kindness to women who are suffering. But, no. She makes you feel like a little girl- stupid and wasting her time to dare to ask questions. There’s a meanness about her that is palpable and makes you want to jump off the exam table. She’s a technician/ mechanic at best. But if you want any humanity, keep away. Do yourself a favor and choose a different urologist.

Really nice Doctor but needs to do a more thorough exam She just seemed very rushed and when my health and life is concerned I want a complete workup. I made an appointment and paid for it that time is mine. Being rushed is how things get missed and could cost me dearly in the long run. Being nice does not save your life a complete exam will. Just to be clear I did everything I was suppose to in informing the Dr what was going on with me filled out detailed paperwork in regards to this as well. I have had yearly physicals that were more detailed than this by far. I went to this Dr based on ratings and I am sorry but I expected much much more. No offense but this is my life we are talking about. If she did not have the time she should have rescheduled me I would have been fine with it instead I got a 30 percent evaluation.

Dr De is absolutely wonderful. I had surgery a few years ago for a relatively unique and very embarassing problem. She could not have been more reassuring. She immediately made sure all tests were done to find the problem and put me at complete ease and confidence in her ability to correct it.

She made feel comfotabe and she very precise in her explanatiion. I would recommend her to friends.

Patient wait time today was 1 hour in the waiting room and then another 45 minutes in the room. Very unhelpful and rude office staff. It's sad because the doctor is good.

Finding a urologist that is versed in problems of the bladder that result from multiple sclerosis has been a challenge. I was recommended to Dr. De by my neurologist and met her and her staff at the Stratton VA in Albany, NY. I was impressed with how thorough, professional and respectful. I am an "educated consumer" and already self-catheterize. Dr. De is taking me to the next step with new medications and possible rehabilitation to help. Definitely very impressed.
