Dr. Elise F. Edwards, MD

Elise Edwards, MD, FAAP, partners with families to care for their children at Willis Knighton Preferred Pediatrics. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology at Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. Next was medical school at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-Shreveport School of Medicine. Dr. Edwards completed her pediatric residency training at the same location. 

Dr. Edwards is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP). Her current memberships include the Northwest Louisiana Medical Society and the Louisiana State Medical Society.   

Her fondness of and desire to work with children attracted Dr. Edwards to the practice of pediatric medicine. She is interested in child development and being part of a child’s story as they grow up. As a partner with your family, Dr. Edwards provides intervention or referrals when she sees developmental issues.    

Married and the mother …of two young sons, Dr. Edwards enjoys spending time with family, reading and doing crafts.
