Dr. Elissa Ehrlich Kaplan, MD

How difficult it must be to diagnose correctly misbehaving digestive systems which explains longer waiting times between patients. For those patients who describe rudeness I wonder if they misunderstand the need for careful procedures for each and every patient including themselves. I’ve been a patient for years and appreciate Dr. Kaplan’s care and patience keeping my gastrointestinal problems under control. Rude? Never! Compassionate and focused on her job. The same applies to her assistants.

Rude, not knowledgeable, can’t think of one good thing positive.

I loved Dr Kaplan. Took her time and explained everything to me. Very personable and I never feel rushed during her visits.

I would not recommend this doctor to anyone, she doesn't seem to have knowledge of what she is taking about, she is very rude!

My experiences with Dr. Kaplan involved a great deal of waiting - waiting for my appointment, and waiting for results/follow-up. She was pleasant during my appointments however she provided little reasoning behind why I was getting getting tests and then didn't explain the results of the tests she ordered. I still have little insight into my condition or how to improve my health. I'm looking for a new doctor.

Dr. Kaplan immediately put me at ease. She listened to my concerns and addressed each one conscientiously. I sensed her feeling of competency rather than arrogancy. Just had an endoscopy and was apprehensive after a bad experience elsewhere. She and her staff gave me the reassurrance I needed and all went very well. She is to be trusted.

It took Dr. Kaplan over a year to finally diagnose me with EITHER ulcerative colitis or early Chron's. She wasn't sure. Didn't listen to ME and tested me for food allergies I knew I didn't have. Looking for a new doctor.

My primary doctor referred me to Dr. Kaplan and I was able to get an appt. the same week. She was very thorough and took my condition very seriously. Before I left her office I was scheduled for a much needed blood transfusion the very next day and for an colonoscopy and endoscopy for the day after. She was very professional and caring before and after my procedures. Without her care I might not be sitting here writing this review, and for that I am very grateful.
