an untruthful fake smile in your face person, beware!

Dr. B was my son's and my salvation when 3 other practitioners could not get thru to him. She is a very smart physician, who nailed his diagnosis, his antics and followed up with phone conversations while he attended college during the next 4 years. She was the only doctor my son trusted after having seen several nutty "professionals" in the field. Dr. B gave us hope when everyone else failed. I would definitely recommend her!

We have been with Dr. Bernardino for about 16 years now. My son is Autistic and is bi-polar and when we first started she was so patient with all the questions I had regarding his treatment plan. She educated the whole family on what my son needed. She also backed me up with all school issues. I actually do not know where we would have been today without all her guidance! Today my son is thriving and graduated with honors. Dr. Bernardino is AWESOME! Oh, her staff too is very professional and so kind.

a disgraceful unprofessional mean-spirited lady who lied & wrote a report w/out giving her "professional" observation w/respect to the condition & physical appearance of my teenage son as she promised she would. did not make any acknowledgement of my son's extreme depression nor his relationship w/his mother or father but wrote extensively about father exploited & demonized my life tragedy that had nothing to do w/my son's pain. my recommendation is to look elsewhere.

After professionally inquiring with the Doctor why some things cannot be done over email or phone, she launched into an emotional tirade about how I don't respect her work, trust her authority, and even threw potshots in that I was "cheap" while rifling dramatically through her files on me. I kept it professional and told her I was just seeking to understand, not attacking her credentials. I wanted to give her one of my xanax at this point because she was very emotional and MEAN. I had my mother in the room that witnessed the whole thing. We both ended up apologizing (I never yelled or insulted her and apologized several times along the way) - but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth for professional behavior. She is smart and knows her drugs and how they interact. But ask anything outside the scope of your case (i.e. why billing the way it is) and you may get an over emotional tirade that scares the sh*t out of you. She offered a refund but I did not take it because she is good… and earns money like the rest of us. But her emotional rollercoaster response left me reeling. It is $250 /half hour and $495/hr. I was called cheap (mean pot shot) because I express concern about the prices and having enough to see her. THis is where it all went beserk and I had to play doctor to calm her down. I have a second witness to this event. 15 minutes of the 30 minutes was me trying to calm her down to understand I wasn't questioning her professional authority (I do now) but just wanted to understand her protocols on requesting and asking about medication.

this doctor is of low character & i suggest everyone find one who will be straight-up with parent about one's child, she lied instead of a simple "yes" or "no" & wouldn't even respond when a reason was requested. pls don't make the mistake i did by selecting this lady. good luck!

I was really surprised after hearing about her reputation at how off she was at diagnosing me. I feel as though she did everything she could to keep me in her office past the 30 minute appointment time so that she could charge more by repeating obvious things to me and talking about scheduling appointments. She also repeatedly threatened to tell my friends and family about the things we discussed and when I stated it was against the law she said, "so sue me". I think she is a threat to people in search of real help.
