Dr. Elizabeth Nguyen Cao, MD

I went to Dr Cao because I was trying to conceive and I had missed 3 periods in a row but was not pregnant. She refused to run any tests on me and insisted it was simply because I was overweight and kept trying to push a book on me to read about making myself healthy. I was actually healthy, I'd never had any health issues related to my weight and as it turned out, I got pregnant the next month and had a healthy pregnancy and baby. I was so hurt and stressed out by this appointment and her refusal to help that I started crying, to which she turned to my husband and rolled her eyes. Needless to say, I never went back and wouldn't advise you to go if you have any extra weight on you, any other health concerns will be overlooked.

Dr. Cao was extremely rude and to a certain degree abusive in her behavior and accusations toward me. She did not allow me to speak and accused me of a list of horrible things. I had no idea what she was talking about. Also, her diagnosis was incorrect. Almost one year later and I finally have the correct diagnosis and treatment after leaving Kaiser.

I have been seeing Dr. Cao a few years now and have yet to leave one visit feeling at ease. She seems to finds ways to make me feel uncomfortable or guilty for my condition. She is the complete opposite of my past ob/gyn. Looking into changing doctors.

It was so nice to finely meet with a doctor at Kaiser (after five tries over 2.5 years) who is easy to talk to and didn't quote the same old "that isn't Kaiser's protocal". My philosophy is that I want to be a partner in my health conditions and treatments with my doctor. Dr. Cao was willing to do that. THANK YOU!

Just wanted to provide a current review of Dr. Cao. It was my first time going to the gyno and I was very nervous. But Dr. Cao made me feel at ease and was also very informative. She is kind and friendly, and knows how to make you feel comfortable during something that can be quite the opposite. I recommend Dr. Cao to anyone looking for a safe space for women’s health services.
