Dr. Elizabeth Cordes Rose, DO

In 2021 I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Rose on behalf of my mother who was suffering a paranoid psychotic break. It took 4 months before she was able to see us, and proceeded to hand us infuriating band-aid solutions to our problems. Instead of prescribing her an anti-psychotic, she had her fulfill a medical lab test that required us to call in her brother in law (a psychiatric doctor) in order to help us complete them. He had to call several colleagues in order to help us complete it. The whole test was certainly not designed for lay-people, and the information the labs yielded was less than helpful in treating her symptoms. Don’t go to Dr. Rose if you have a family member with a psychiatric disorder and save yourself a lot of heartache

If you have an eating disorder I implore you to stay away from this psychiatrist. She made my disorder so much worse by pushing elimination diets, keto, and calorie deficit. You would think a mental health professional would know all of those things are dangerous to prescribe to someone with ED.

She was very concerned in figuring out my actual inner struggles instead of just pill pushing like so many others. In fact she didn’t even suggest them until we had exhausted all other measures. Even then I was only on them for a few months just to lower the intensity in order for me to heal naturally. She truly wants to help people and will dive into the scary depths with you. Would highly recommend.

Only saw her because my previous psychiatrist retired. He was such a great man, really took the effort to figure out my condition. Cordes was only there to continue filling my meds. I'm so thankful to have found another doctor so I don't have to put up with the bullying attitude I endured for 7 long years!

She encouraged me to get a saliva test to find the medicine work best $$ which is a good idea. However after seeing her (once a month) 5 times nothing is working and it cost me over $800. The meds have made it hard to even live with MYSELF let alone have compassion for anyone else! Going to the bathroom is a major problem. Getting reimbursement for $ I am due isn't happening and they don't return messages.
