Dr. Elizabeth Ann Curtis, DO

I've been seeing Dr. Curtis for decades [since her practice was in Monterey, IN] and I appreciate her caring approach and up-to-date knowledge on my auto-immune disorders. She offers common sense health alternatives rather than simply throwing another drug at a patient like some doctors. Even though I moved almost 50 miles from her office over a decade ago I still make the trip to see her.

I was looking for a Doctor that was established, one who would stay for more than a couple of years , and Dr. Curtis is it. She is also very patient and actually listens to what your saying, she makes me feel that she is in it to really help people and not just for the pay check. I would strongly recommend Dr. Curtis to anyone.

I discovered Dr. Curtis in Virginia when I was having extended gynecological pain and bleeding. She performed several minor and invasive procedures with the upmost in patience and care. I finally found a doctor who I liked and then she moved! I was so sad, but happy that she resolved my problems before she left.

I've seen Dr. Curtis since her practice was in Monterey over 30 years ago. She's always done all she could to help my family and understands my preference for natural healing. She's always up on the latest trends in both conventional and alternative healing.

Once I made my appointment, the office staff informed me that I was a cash only patient, not having an outstanding balance with them and great insurance with a $15.00 co-pay why would she not see me? On a visit almost a year ago, she refused to refill my prescriptions because "we owed her money" paying 50 to 75 a month on a outstanding bill then, the office staff would not let us leave unless we signed a payment letter stating we would pay 25 a month minimum...less than we were paying on our own. I am seeking another medical doctor and recommend all her patients do so as well.

Dr. Curtis practices in a lower socio-economic community. These means she sees alot of patients who have minimal education and maximum stubborness. She does an excellent job of trying to motivate these patients to eat right, exercise, and care about their health. She has a really difficult job but does it well.
