Dr. Elizabeth E. Gerard, MD

Dr Gerard has false advertising on the Northwestern epilepsy website so she can look like the best neurologist ever and attract more business. It says on their website that, “We also offer the only Women's Epilepsy Program in Illinois,”. This is extremely false. Nearby epilepsy centers also offer women’s health and epilepsy clinics in Chicago. Dr Gerard is friends with the drs at the surrounding epilepsy clinics so she should show more respect.

Have seen for over 15 years . Experience went from good to bad, seek help elsewhere. She relies heavily on her staff and technology to keep patients away.

Dr. Gerard took great interest on my case. I am blessed to have encountered her.

There is nobody better than Dr. Gerard. I've had neurologists all over the country at some of the most reputable institutions and she is BY FAR the best. She is patient, friendly, honest and tactful; and an excellent communicator. She goes well above and beyond what most doctors do and educates herself on each patient's unique condition, which is especially impressive when it would be easier to just provide another referral. Dr. Gerard is consistent in her diagnoses and advice and incredibly intelligent. I wish I could give her one million stars!

Dr. Gerard is a blessing in my life. Patient, friendly, she CARES about her patients. She personally follows-up with me periodically, and since I switched to her, I have my seizures under control, for the first time in 15 years. Best doctor I know.

Good doc. Very knowledgable, but tries to pressure you into doing things her way. Only sees office patients about 15 hours/week. It used to be a lot easier to get in, but the waits are getting rediculous. Don't ever be her last appointment of the day - because she spends a lot of time with each patient, you'll be waiting a long time.

I was admitted with an immunological condition that caused an inflammation in my brain. Nobody diagnosed it, until Dr. Gerard was brought in. At that point I was in a comma and doctors warned my family that I would not survive. Dr. Gerard treated my condition and saved my life. My God bless this amazing doctor, caring human being.

We met Dr. Gerard when my 19 year old daughter as admitted to have a brain surgery to remove a Cavernous Angioma. She was assigned my daughter's case, and although we live 3 hours from Chicago, we will always keep Dr. Gerard as her Neurologist. Her knowledge and bedside manner FAR surpassed the Neurologists we were seeing in Green Bay, WI. She takes her job extremely seriously, is very dedicated, and goes out of her way to accomodate our situation living so far away from her.

Dr. Gerard is amazing. My mom has a very complex acquired neurological condition. On the first visit with Dr. Gerard, she spent 2 hours with us!!! She is compassionate, an incredible listener,and she worked tirelessly until we reached a new scheme of meds that resulted in an amazing improvement for my mom. I could not recommend Dr. Gerard highly enough.

Dr. Gerard is a young yet highly professional neurologist. She has compassion, knowledge and does an excellent follow-up work. She doesn't seem to be a doctor 'after money or prestige' but rather working for her patients well-being.
