Dr Elizabeth A Hilbelink, MD

Dr. Elizabeth A. Hilbelink takes a preventative approach to your child's health. She provides well-child visits, treats children when they are sick and manages chronic or ongoing medical conditions. She also provides care to newborns that were just born at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield.
It was the interaction with families that drew Hilbelink to be a pediatrician in the first place.
"I think one of the joys of primary care is really getting to know the families and watching the children grow," said Hilbelink.
She attended the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison for medical school and completed her residency at Marshfield Clinic/St. Joseph's Hospital.​ She is board certified in pediatrics.
She feels preventive health care is important for children. She tries to instill good habits in her patients and encourages the use of vaccines to prevent diseases in the future.
"When you are looking at a child, you are looking at a young person that has …their whole life ahead of them," Hilbelink said. "If you can get good habits engrained in them early, that is something that can impact their lives."
She also feels it is important to be an advocate for her patients. This involves helping the child and families get the help they need from the health care system.
"I enjoy meeting the family and child where they are in life, and figuring out what they need. When you can help them, it is very gratifying," Hilbelink said.
She enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids. Her hobbies include kayaking, swimming, playing piano and reading.
