Dr. Elizabeth Ann Hodapp, MD

23 years ago, I had my daughter and we took her via ambulance to Bascom Palmer to have a diagnosis. She was diagnosed with glaucoma. My husband and I met with Dr. Hodapp and she diagnosed our infant with glaucoma. During the first four years of her life, she had multiple surgeries and EUA's and we were so frightened. We have since moved away and on to other Doctors who have told us emphatically that without the wonderful care she received while she was so young we would not have the amount of vision preserved as she has now. She went to school with friends, went to college, drives a car. I cannot tell you how often I am thankful for the wonderful care she received from Dr. Hodapp.

I had been told by another doctor that I needed a laser iridotomy before the end of the year in 2014. I was very worried, especially since the other doctor told me to "research it online" and that "your medicare covers it"! I was lucky to hear of Dr. Hoddap and cannot say enough good things about her thorougness, the accuracy of her diagnosis, her professionalism and absolute straighforwardness. After Dr. Hoddap told me that I did not need the procedure the other doctor had urged me to have (probably because I think he needed money for his divorce) she also had one of her colleagues examine me just in case. It has been more than a year now and my eyes are doing better with all her recommendations.
