Elizabeth Hoff

Hello, I'm Lizzie Hoff. I'm excited to meet you and learn more about you while we start your therapy work together!

I really enjoy working with folks of all ages who are interested in understanding not just their symptoms and how to manage them, but also in getting to the root cause(s) and working to address that, as well. I connect especially well with highly sensitive people (HSPs); folks who struggle with anxiety and/or depression, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and boundary-setting; and individuals who simply want or need someone to accompany them down the road to healing and wellness. My "ideal" client wants to better understand, appreciate, and love themselves and is open to finding, together, how best to do that.

I like to use a variety of approaches with my clients, depending on what they need and want, what their goals are, and what they've already found works (and doesn't work). I am a creative person myself, so I enjoy implementing creative methods with my clients when …appropriate; this includes art, movement, nature, meditation, play (even with adults!), etc. I also draw from different theories of practice according to the individual, such as CBT/REBT, DBT, and ACT, among others. As curiosity and learning are both important values for me, I am always continuing my own education and expanding my "toolbox" to incorporate even more modalities and techniques into my work.

I have lived in Colorado for nearly 20 years, and I have no plans to leave! After college, I taught middle school English/Language Arts for several years, then worked as a school counselor for four years before transitioning to full-time therapy work. I enjoy nature, exercise, and traveling/exploring new places, and I am currently pursuing certifications in both Animal-Assisted Therapy and Reiki healing.
