I went in to the ER concerned that I had a blood clot in my port cath. She made me feel stupid and my concerns invalidated. Very condescending. She did order an c-ray but that was the only time I saw her. About 3 hours later a nurse came in with discharge papers and no one had come and told me I was fine, X-rays looked good - nothing. No communication from Dr. Hull at all.

Developed palpable cardiac arrhythmia late at night. Upon arrival to ER got into ED within 5-7 minutes arrival busy LeConte ER waiting room. Triaged quickly, moved to ER suite, monitored and treated next 8 hours for cardiac arrhythmia. I felt Dr Hull was easy to be around, calm, supportive, knew her stuff and treated me appropriately. I have no complaints or words of wisdom for improved care. I am retired RN.

The hospital staff at LeConte Medical Center was wonderful with 1 exception: Dr. Hull. What was thought to be a kidney stone turned out to be something totally different that was potentially life threatening and required emergency surgery. Without going into detail of the situation, I’ll just say she had ZERO empathy and spoke to me in a rude, harsh tone - at one point raising her voice with me as though I was a 5 year old child being berated. I’m a medical professional who is almost 40 years old, and I’ve never seen a heartbreaking diagnosis be delivered in such a heartless, inconsiderate manner in my life.

the doctor never performed physical exam and never asked about my past medical history

I was having a dry cough for the previous 9 Months. Plus I had vertigo and right ear problem; and suffer of Hypertension, I also was hospitalized few months earlier for BELLS PALSY. Visited my Primary Care Physician almost every week, He referred me to a Specialist E.N.T. ALSO suggested I see my Cardiologist, and a Pulmonologist I was told by the pulmonologist that everything was fairly normal and that I could have contracted Asthma Then went to the Cardiologist who did a stress test I passed it but not without struggle, visited the Gastrointerologist, who as difficult as could be to believe also gave me an OK Then due to a Swelling in my left ankle the ENT SENT ME TO UT for an ultrasound and a visit with a vascular surgeon That particular morning I had an appointment with the Ear Nose and Throat. On my way to the appointment I felt so bad my daughter (an ICU NURSE) suggested the ER. But went home instead. By that same night I was feeling so bad Went to FORT SANDERS… REGIONAL ER AFTER THE TRIAGE, MET WITH THE DR. (Dr. HULL) Who stated from my description she felt I either had the Flu, Pneumonia (and those were easy to rule out) or a BLOOD CLOT She then ordered a scan of my chest with dye And came back with the Ruling that I Had “A Saddle Clot” and immediately admitted me in the intensive care. I am so glad she diagnosed it properly unlike ALL THE OTHER SPECIALISTS. THE SADDLE CLOT IS CONSIDERED BY MED SCHOOLS AS A WIDOW MAKER. SHE was able to determine it from a very short Laundry List. I am so grateful to her, and that unlike many she did not give me an antibiotic and send me home. Instead she did her job and was able to diagnose me and properly.. Otherwise I would have continued being a walking bomb with this clot. I am so grateful and blessed our path had crossed at the ER.

Overpriced, charged $1200 for a 10 minute ER visit that the Healthcare Blue Book says the Fair Market Price should be $542. On top of this she ordered a CT scan to confirm her diagnosis at an additional cost of $542. Then ordered me to the hospital for 3 days but the Dr there released me in 10 hours.
