Dr. Elizabeth Fern Jaffe, MD

Dr. Jaffa refused to give me the allergy shots that had worked for me when I lived in Massachusetts unless I started using Advair. Advair is addictive and has long term side effects. After Ibstarted using Advair, Dr. Jaffe still refused to give me allergy shots. Now, 17 years later, I have tried many times to taper off of Advair, but to no avail. I had to go without health insurance for several years because the co-payment for Advair was $329/month, my premium was $800/month and my deductible was $6000. It was either insurance or Advair. The prednisone on Advair causes cataracts. That was $9600, but insurance did pay for some of it after the $6000 deductible. Prednisone also causes loss of muscle mass on the shoulders and quadriceps. I keep weight training, but I don’t know how to gauge what the Advair has cost me. Perhaps the multiple occurrences of rotator cuff tears are related. Bottom line, Dr. Jaffe bad. Was she getting kickbacks from Smith Glaxo Klein?

Great doctor. Caring and very involved with her patients
