Dr. Elizabeth Kaback, MD

Dr Kaback saved my life. I had passed my cardiac stress test but she recognized there was an error in it. She immediately sent me to the cath lab for an angiogram. My LAD was nearly 100% blocked. Four stents were placed. I think I would not have lived another 24 hours if she had not stepped in. She's an excellent doctor and very courageous. I will always be grateful to her.

I have been a patient of Dr Kabak and she is just great. She gives you the straight scoop and listens but wants you to make the changes that need to be made. Have recommended her to several friends and will continue.

Dr. Kaback has been working with me for about 5 yrs for a cardio condition identified after a stroke. She is very straight forward as are many people form the east coast and I appreciate that. She has been very proactive in treating my heart condition as well as continued work in finding the needle in the haystack that caused the stroke. I credit her for being a big part of my being alive today

I don’t understand why this doctor is still treating patients, as she comes across to hate handing to do so. She is chronically late, arrogant, condescending, doesn’t communicate well in between visits, intimidating, shows no compassion or care, and doesn’t make a patient feel confident in her assessments since she doesn’t allow for questions. She should work with machines and not humans. Horrible experiences with her, wasting time and money.

I came across her business card after cleaning out my junk drawer. It made me angry just seeing her name and reliving the horrible experience all over again. I took my father here a few years back. What an absolute waste of time! This Dr. has no business dealing with patients. If she learned some patience, maybe she could deal with them. Like everyone says, she has no compassion, knows it all and treats you like your a 5th grader. I have been a paramedic in San Diego County for 26+ years. I have come across all types of doctors. I remember the really good ones and the terrible ones. Sad to see she is still treating patients. Go elsewhere, there are plenty of great doctors in this county. Maybe she should go to Mexico and practice there?

Dr. Elizabeth Kaback is not the doctor you want to see unless you want to feel horrible about yourself, belittled, yelled at and starred down as if you have no idea what you are talking about when you try to discuss your concerns. I wish I didn't even have to give her one start to write this review. I just want to encourage people to seek treatment from other doctors. There are plenty at Scripps that will consider your feelings. Just not HER.

I have to agree with the negative comments about Dr. Kabeck. I tell people she flunked bedside manner class; HOWEVER, she is the THIRD doctor I saw to bring my blood pressure down, and she was the one who was successful. Incredible relief! Enough said.

She saw me in a La Jolla Cardiac Hospital Unit for evaluation of potential heart problems. Terrible first impression; argumentative, condescending, and contradictory of what other doctors had told me. Ordered extensive tests and did not review any results or findings with me nor have her assistant or assistant physicians contact me. I complained at discharge that this was very unprofessional and as I was leaving one of her assistant hurried up to apologize and give me a 25 word overview of "everything is ok".

She's blunt.unfriendly, been with her for two years---done. Good by to an assxxxx
