Dr. Elizabeth Ann Kamin, MD

I had a 3 hr testing done by a psychologist and was told he wanted my ADHD treated. He sent me to Dr. Kamin. I was barely in her office for 10 mins and she asked for my medications. I told her Paxil and Medical Marijuana. She then proceeds to say “i just want to let you know i will not prescribe any stimulants for anyone who uses marijuana” then proceeded to put me on bipolar medication. I left their feeling completely judged and labeled. Absolutely awful. She is dismissive, does not listen to you, is judgmental, and just does not have a personality. I called around and every clinic I spoke to said how unprofessional that was. She didn’t treat me for a condition because she is against marijuana and that is ridiculous and she should be embarrassed. There are plenty non stimulants she could have given me but decided to put me on something for bipolar. Unbelievable and i will not be back to see her. By the reviews; sounds like i am not the only one. How she is still in practice is… beyond me.

Dr. Kaman is unprofessional, rude and obviously does not like the profession that she chose. Extremely dismissive, causes more anxiety. Then I went in with her, and obviously only cares about herself. When I asked for a referral to a doctor or nurse practitioner that has the ability to pretend that they care. Dr. Kamin then told me to go to a different practice. No one should leave with more anxiety than they came in with. If you like unprofessional, rude behavior, then Doctor kamin is for you!

Obviously did not listen or care. Asked several questions including what meds I am allergic to. I clearly indicated one med I tried that I had an allergic reaction to. At the end of the appointment she said she was going to prescribe that medicine. I had to remind her of my allergy. No compassion in her interaction with me. I will not go back

I’ve been seeing her for a year and this will be my last. She is rude. She is the opposite of a great listener. And she could care less with people that struggle with addiction.

I am not one to typically comment, but I can't not say anything in this case. After reading other reviews, it sounds like others have had the same experience as I did. I went to Dr. Kamin to try to figure out what has been going on with me emotionally (anxiety and depression). I felt like she was extremely judgmental and wouldn't even listen to what I had to say. She would ask a question and then talk over me. She did not introduce herself when she took me to the back, instead she looked me up and down and I felt like she was judging me the entire time. I don't expect her to have sympathy for me by any means, I just expect her to listen and take what I have to say into account. After all, that's why I was there- to figure out how to make me better. Please, please, please do not go to this provider. Now I feel like I have to start all over again. I wish I would have read more reviews in the beginning. I honestly do not know how this women is still practicing.

My husband is being treated for Schizoaffective disorder and saw this Dr one time. She would not look at him as stated in previous comments, and would not allow him to talk when needed. Dr. Kamin made him feel like he was a drug addict for medication that was PERSCRIBED to him by other Drs. over all the fact someone is trying to get help and a Dr specifically Dr. Kamin who is supposed to be helpful treats you like a child and belittles you is not ok! In this area we already have issues with behavioral health, and how there is not enough support for those people who struggle against their will due to mental health issues. Dr. Kamin should be under review due to the fact she is not helping the pts that need to be helped and is causing the issues we have in the community today. Personally the fact someone can’t even see a person for who they are and not their disease is just sad. just because you have behavioral health issues does not give you the right to treat them in a disrespectful… manner period. I hope that the people who complained can get the help they need due to Dr KAMIN treating the pts with such great disrespect. We should come together as a community and help one another not make someone feel like they are crazy. Dr kamin is very unprofessional and I hope she is investigated for how she treats her pts.

She is a great listener and discerner. I explained everything that was going on and she took the time to really look deep and help me realize a few things I wasn't even aware of. She's very nice, professional and thoughtful!

By far the rudest and most unprofessional psychiatrist I have ever experienced.

I have been treated for anxiety, depression, insomnia for years! I cannot help it! Only reason I did not go back to my Dr is because I moved 10 hours away! She was abrupt, wouldn't look at me or ask me why I was there. She looked at my current meds and said I will not prescribe those, they are addictive. I said my Dr would be glad to speak to her on my history. She said I don't prescribe them. I can recommend another office. I asked her to evaluate me before questioning my medication list. She said she will but will only prescribe my medications once. Then she continued on typing and not facing me. She did not seem to care about my welfare. It is hard enough to find a new Dr when you move but to be treated like that was a nightmare!

She was very dismissive and rude. She was very stuck in her own opinion and didn't want to listen or take into consideration my opinion or thought. Didn't want to help me with my problems. I was trying to get treated for my ADHD, and because I have a "history of psychosis", she refused to treat me and didn't offer any other options. I have a history of wetting my pants, doesn't mean i'm doing it now. I felt robbed of my time and money, this is the second doctor I've seen at this practice that have been of no help. I highly recommend you avoid this practice if you need real help. These doctors here seem to lack critical thinking and cant compromise.
