Excellent doctor. She listens, cares and took good care of me. Unfortunately she is no longer at the VA. Someone has big shoes to fill.

Great doctor that's concerned about their patient's well-being using traditional medicine along with new and innovative medicine

We travel and live in an RV. It was time for my yearly physical that our insurance covers. I looked on the internet and found Elizabeth Lafleur. When I made the appointment I let them know that I wanted lab work done. My husband and I get our lab work done every year and compare to see if there are any changes. They were offering a special on lab work for $45 per person. We told them that we did not want that because our insurance would pay for ours. So the receptionist set a date for our lab work before our appointment. We got up early fasting and came into office. She again wanted us to do their special. We again said no we want our lab work to be ran through our insurance. So they refused to do our lab work and said we had to see the doctor first so they could determine what they wanted tested. I wasn't happy that we got up early and drove all the way to the doctors office for nothing. My husband and I went in a few days later to get our physical. My husband had a… different doctor and I had Elizabeth Lafleur. My husband had a wonder experience with his doctor. Got all his question answered. Did a follow-up visit for his allergies. Very happy. I went in for a Pap Smear and yearly physical, which I get every year. She told me that they were not doing Pap Smears yearly anymore so I did not get that nor a pelvic exam done, which my insurance pays for. I told her a couple of complications I was having. She informed me that this was a physical and those could not be addressed I had to make more appointments to address issues. No pointing me in the right direction or anything. I told her that I was taking some things naturally---herbs and vitamins. She was very unhappy with that choice. She told me how that herbs and vitamins were not regulated by the government and how they could be harming my body. blah blah blah... She asked where I had come up with the different herbs and vitamins to take. I told her that I had done some research on the internet. Well, that just hit another hot spot of hers. She let me know that on no uncertain terms was the information on the web accurate. She said that it was just a bunch of advertisement to get people to purchase their products. She refused to run a full lab panel like I get every year, she would only test for 3 different things. When I went to check out they wanted me to come back so the doctor could give me my lab results. (Which no doctor has ever had me come back unless these was a problem.) So I ask if this was going to be paid under the physical exam that she just did. They told me no that I would have to pay for it because my deductible was not met for the year. I ask if I could just get a copy of my lab results. If there was something wrong I would make another appointment to see the doctor. The receptionist said that would be fine. They would let me view my results through the patient portal. My husband went in a few days later for his allergy test. He ask for a copy of my lab results. They gave him a print out of my visit and at the bottom it said, and I quote, "Since she refused to make that follow up appointment, I cancelled the lab orders". My husband's doctor run a full panel on him. He was going to give him his results without coming back. He ended up giving him his results when he came in for the allergy test. One thing I needed to be checked was my vitamin D. I personally paid for and had lab work done in January. The lab called to give me an urgent report that my vitamin D was at a critical level. So she did not even run my vitamin D to see where it was at now in June. Since we are not going to be in Missouri where our regular doctor is located I ask the doctor if she would refill my meds that I have been taking for years. She said if I was not going to be doing follow up visits that she could not do my refills. Very unhappy with Elizabeth Lafeur. Me and my insurance is paying the bill, why can't I get what I feel needs done. It is my body. I do not recommend this doctor unless you have a lot of time and money to spare.
