Dr. Elizabeth A Laurenson, MD

I first saw Beth Laurenson more than 25 years ago. She first identified me as having Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis. My other doctors had often commented that my neck looked a little swollen, but didn’t tell me what it was, did no tests, and didn’t appear concerned at all. She saw my neck and asked if I knew my neck was swollen, and immediately ordered a full thyroid panel. Because she identified me early on, I have been well controlled for all this time and avoided complications others who are not identified for years face. Recently my disease switched gears and I now have Graves Disease. This is unusual, but because of being under control for years, I still have a functioning thyroid and because I now live on the east coast, I am working with a functional medicine doctor here using on natural healing methods to get this into remission.
