Dr. Elizabeth C. Lee, MD

I am heartbroken to share that my experience with Dr. Elizabeth Lee was not only deeply disappointing but also tragically devastating. My brother was admitted to the hospital in April, with the hope and trust that Dr. Lee would schedule his catheterization surgery within 2-3 weeks due to the urgency she displayed. However, this crucial surgery was never scheduled, and there was no follow-up to confirm a date. Despite my brother’s desperate attempts to reach her by phone and email, he received no response. Dr. Lee, a fellow who should never have been entrusted with such a critical case, utterly failed to provide the care and attention my brother so desperately needed. My brother, already feeling unwell and anxious, went to Rochester General Hospital seeking treatment after a month of no communication with the doctor. Tragically, while waiting in the hospital’s waiting room in June, he went into cardiac arrest, and no one was there to assist him. It wasn’t until after my brother’s… cardiac arrest in the waiting room and his subsequent admission that Dr. Lee finally attended to him. Despite knowing about his small arteries from his first visit, she had her team place a catheter in his arteries. This reckless decision resulted in blood clots in his legs and arms, leading to the loss of his leg and possibly his arm, which drastically reduced his chances of surviving heart surgery. The doctor and her team seemed more concerned about their reputation and funding than my brother’s life. We thought Dr. Lee would be empathetic, especially since she has children, but that wasn’t the case. She was very cold and unresponsive. Throughout this entire nightmare, Dr. Lee’s lack of empathy, understanding, and accountability was painfully evident. These failures directly contributed to my brother’s untimely passing. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Based on this heart-wrenching experience, I cannot recommend Dr. Elizabeth Lee.
