Dr. Elizabeth Anne Liotta, MD

Normally I would say don’t believe everything you read, but in this situation, believe every single one of the negative reviews. The staff is matter-of-fact, short, and not interested in who you are as a person whatsoever. They want you in and they want you out. The front desk staff member with the long hair is the worst. They should put her some place way in the back where she doesn’t come near a patient. Unhelpful, unpleasant, and just seems miserable with life. The doctor also has a very poor bedside manor. She’s about as uncaring and unfazed as they come. I blame her for the terrible customer service in her office because it’s starts from the bottom and trickles down. I absolutely do not recommend this doctor and will NEVER be back.

I haven't seen Dr. Liotta yet, but receptionist/scheduler was very friendly and helpful even though I called at 4:30.

Just called in to reschedule an appointment for my severe skin condition. The receptionist was rude and scolded me over what she considered a no show. ( I had a family emergency dropped in my lap that day and forgot to call). In the meantime my condition has come back stronger than ever and I really didn’t appreciate her talking to me like I’m a child. I promptly changed my derm for good for this reason. I suffer enough from the debilitating skin condition.. I don’t appreciate the customer service at all I will be telling anyone I know to avoid this place in the future

Rude to the 5th power

I have been treated by several dermatologists in my time, in another state. The last one was a skin cancer specialist, and she recommended Dr. Liotta to me when I moved to Maryland. They had found one basal cell skin cancer on me, and I have to get checked yearly. Dr. Liotta was competent, thorough, sensible, and courteous. And so was her staff. She found a site that was pre-cancerous, and she quickly prevented that one. She found a fairly large basal cell cancer on the back of my upper arm, and was very accommodating to my needs during the necessary small surgical procedure. I am allergic to the usual antibiotics, so they questioned me carefully to find one I could tolerate. When my surgical site seemed a little too pink, they found an opening that day, and again they carefully questioned me to adjust the medication . Furthermore, when I later found a small spot on my hand that had been obscured by a bad bruise at my first appointment, Dr. Liotta's staff found a time within… two days, and Dr. Liotta spent time explaining how this was different from a spot of basal cell cancer. The doctor and her staff were nice at this return visit even though my payment, mailed a few days earlier, had not yet reached them.

staff friendly to my large German shepherd service dog, VERY important to me. I have used her for skin cancer scans, and the team is so quiet and efficient it is over before I can even get embarrassed. Also treat with scalp injections, they worked with me and did what I wanted. My husband had same, was pleased with them.

This was probably the worst dermatology appointment that I have ever experienced. I went in to get some skin cancer cut out of my back. When I arrived, there was not 1 person in the waiting room, so I was able to get in almost immediately which was good. However, during the entire time I was getting the procedure done, the doctor (Liotta) didn't say more than 5 words to me. Instead, she talked about herself then entire time to her Assistant. Liotta went on and on about how hard she trains for marathons and other fitness stuff. She was all about herself. I'm not sure how the Assistant can stand that day in and day out. Liotta barely let her Assistant get a word in either. She is so self absorbed and has no concept of customer service. She obviously doesn't realize that her patients are her customers and that they are the ones that pays her bills. I will say that the Assistant was nice and this is no complaint against her. It was so bad that I didn't even go back in to get my stitches… taken out...I had my wife do it because I wasn't about to pay Liotta to see more about how self absorbed and thankless she is. There are a lot other dermatologists in Frederick. If you are reading this, I highly recommend that you go to a different doctor. I know I will in the future.

I have been going here for two years for acne. My acne has gotten way worse then it was before I went to the stupid dermatologist. I went back the other week and said I needed this acne to clear up before my wedding in August, they once again switched the stuff I was on and told me its trial and error with medications. I have tried four different things in the two years I have been going here. You would think I would have flawless skin by now but that is not the outcome. Never ever go there. I am taking my business else where!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
