Dr. Elizabeth C. Lippitt, MD

Unfortunately I found her general aura dismissive and very impersonal. My appointment made months in advance was cancelled, and then I was going to be "fit in" but that doesn't work for me, since I cannot make most of her available appointments to begin with due to insomnia, so it was especially important for me to get a late day appointment, so fitting me in after her cancellation would have required me to jump through a few hoops. There were other things besides this all pointing to a lack of interest and a mechanical attitude. I got more attention from the neighborhood dog.

Doctor doesn’t take your symptoms seriously. I had two symptoms that led to a medical condition and she just brushed them off.

Less than 10 minutes with her. Didn’t answer one question that I had ordered the wrong labs…had to go back twice. Unprofessional and definitely didn’t care. I had to remind her to call in my prescription aftern3 days. A joke this was.

Appointments all felt rushed. Doctor is annoyed if you ask to explain anything at all. Pushes you out of the office as soon as she possibly can. Final straw was she ended the appointment with me so quickly, she did not even order my labs - had to travel back the next week to complete them due her error. Suggested I took medicine that she already prescribed - did not even look at my chart. Truly cold and dry demeanor. When doctors are this over their profession, they should retire early and spare us their embitterment. She is not representative of the high quality experience you always get at a NYU Medical facility

If you want to have to have the worst experience of your life that makes you feel like you're nothing, see her. She is the least personal physician I've ever worked with. She does not care about your health and you will not be heard.

Dr. Lippitt treats you like a piece of meat. She does not make eye contact, is not thorough and does not follow up. Try messaging her and she has her Nurses follow up or if she replies she disables chat so you can't reply or ask a follow up question. I had a health issue and she said she couldn't handle it and I should just go to the ER?

Cancelled my appointment for being 15 minutes late after traveling halfway across the city to see her.

I tried this physician after my previous PCP went to another practice after being my Cardiologist and PCP for more than ten years. I found Dr. Lippitt to be impersonal and generally uninterested in providing me quality healthcare. When I had an insurance issue with a medication, she was not willing to work with me to get the issue resolved. The general state of consolidation of physicians in the aftermath of the ACA to hospital systems results in doctors providing less care and poor patient outreach. The once valued NYU Langone downtown practice has diminished substantially. I would strongly advise that you pass on Dr Lippitt.
