Dr. Elizabeth Anne Maher, MD

Dr Maher was knowledgeable and friendly. I really appreciated her practical and non-nonsense advice and approach and a through explanation. She cares about her patients' well being and reccommends the best solution for you vs recomending unnecessary treatments. Staff was helpful and accomodating.

Dr. Maher made my eyes look beautiful. She is a very skilled and savvy doctor and I had a superb experience with her for my first surgery. Don’t believe any poor reviews and don’t miss out on her.

God help you if you decide to seek Dr Maher's surgical expertise. Without reason or caution along the lines of madness she rearranged my eyes resulting in a complete mess creating more wrinkles and as my best friend has told me "completely destroyed the shape of my eyes" stating I look like a completely different person. Plastic eye surgery is SUPPOSE to enhance your face not destroy your face aging and creating more wrinkles and lines. I cry when I look in the mirror. Please do not be as foolish as I was and be impressed by a Harvard degree. Needless to say the office is a factory and completely unorganized. Having said this she is a very nice person but DO NOT BE FOOLED. STAY AWAY!

I'm a bit puzzled when i read negative commentary about this doctor's personality. "Rude?" NOT! Here's what I saw/What she exudes: KNOWLEDGE, SELF-CONFIDENCE, WARM BEDSIDE MANNER: COMPASSIONATE & KIND, WILLING TO ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS, and EXPLAIN IN UNDERSTANDABLE TERMS, NURTURING...We might consider that whatever disposition we carry and bring into our doctor visits may very well determine that what we (think) see in the physician is their reaction to what they are seeing in US.

She is rude and arrogant. The wait time is ridiculous- even when waiting in hospital for her to appear for surgery it was over 2 hours. If I could give her zero stars I would.

I liked her manner and staff. I saw her for a minor procedure. The wait time for the initial assessment was a tad long, but there was no wait to speak for me on the day of the actual procedure, which is great. Nice offices. At one point, I had to leave a VM mssg with her office and they replied in less than 24 hours.

I came here because I was experiencing a lot of pain and swelling around my eyes. She was rude and didn't seem very concerned or interesting in helping me at all. No compassion.

I had a second visit with Dr. Elizabeth Maher and I must of had ubeen in a bad mood to have rated Dr. Maher so poorly before. I was terribly wrong about Dr. Maher. She is a terrific doctor. Even while very busy during my second appointment, she was so personable and most importantly, a highly competent doctor. I had preliminary minor surgery today and Dr. Maher explained everything and was very reassuring. Her steady hand and delicate touch made it non painful. I go back for more surgery and am not worried at all as I am in great hands. Thanks to Dr. Maher.

Waiting in the examine room she comes storming with an assistant without greeting me. I tell her what my referring optometrist said about my eyes bothering me by excessive tearing and my clogged tear ducts to which she tersely said in impatience. "Get used to it!! Everybody else just uses a tissue." I had also a growth on my eyelid that my opthomalogist wanted taken off and biopsied but she made me feel she was done with me that I got up and left. There were no good byes on her part. What an ill tempered woman unhappy about her life and taking it out on others.

My eye surgery was successful. Dr Maher and staff were professional and always courteous.
