Dr. Elizabeth Stover Maier, MD

I have a LOT going on. A parent's death, a stressful life (unemployment and contract work), chronic pain due to a medical malpractice issue, and a newly discovered genetic defect. All of these contributed to hormonal/neurological imbalances, insomnia, IBS, joint pain, and an assortment of issues. In a nutshell, I'm a mess. Elizabeth was kind, thorough, and spent 45 minutes just talking through my health issues, making sure that she got all the details in my medical, emotional, and life history. She didn't roll her eyes at all the "documents" I brought with me, as some previous Drs had. (Hey, I'm just trying to help you do your job.) She also recommended that I see a Naturopath in the office due to some genetic issues, which was great. Is she gooey soft and warm in an empathic sort of way? No. But she is a scientist and some distance is necessary and she DOES care.
